The Guardian has appeared repeatedly in tie-in fiction, not to mention Star Trek: Online and “Yesteryear.” Which is a longer way of saying, “beats me!”

(I haven’t seen season three of Discovery yet, so bowing out of this thread now...)

Not to mention, TNG, DS9, and Abrams all wanted to use the Guardian at one point but decided against it. Ellison sued for unauthorized use of elements from TCOTEOF, and received a settlement in 2008, which may have granted CBS a wider or complete access to those elements.

Eh, episode was ok, but with a decent premise this year, it’s disappointing to grab for the Mirror Universe crutch again. Especially to make a 2 parter out of it.

I feel comfortable with my 4.

Did not really hate it, but it was poor.

What is that door? Who is Karl? Oh, look, a mysterious door to another universe and time! No explanation necessary, because plot! And we need to get the Section 31 show going.

Look, I love me some Michelle Yeoh. But she's a bit over the top. I get that this MU experience will be the thing that demonstrates/reveals her growth, and that is will probably resolve the Burnham/Georgiou mommy/daughter issues.

Did like seeing some familiar faces from S1/S2 again.

Still, I'd have preferred Georgiou's situation be the B plot as the A plot moved forward rather than having it be 1/8th of the season. Also, I am on MU/Time travel overload. Enough.

Just annoying that the main premise of the season is getting so little attention, and barely gets a minute per episode, before it all gets resolved in an episode or two at the end of the season. More MU screen time than Burn is a mistake
It's probably Phillipa/Yeoh's swan song on DISCO and set up for SEC31. Think of it as DISCO's Assignment Earth.

I don't see why it would.

My post was tongue-in-cheek, but truth be told, there's no logical way that by 2379 in the Kelvin universe, anything would look the same as in the prime universe, much less a uniform from the 2360's of the latter. It's just a very odd choice of uniform to represent the Kelvin 2380's Starfleet. If anything, they should have used a PIC uniform at the least, as someone mentioned above. Unless Yor just borrowed that uniform when he crossed over to the Prime universe, but then his clothing and communicator would have been at least ten to fifteen years out of date.

I enjoyed this more than most this season.

It was lighter on forced Aw moments, just Tilly's hug (Aww) and the dad talk with Stamets and the Trill host I like but can't remember the name of.

Found myself enjoying it, and good for them. Many of you aren't diggin it.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised.

Don't want to start criticizing, but maybe it felt like it was a vacation from the michael-saves-the-day plots I feel we get a lot. Note I am emphasizing my jnderstanding of my perception of the matter.

Also I like when bad characters grow or get redemption, as might be happening.

Also, 2 eps with no teary eyes? (Note non-use of contentious term, "crying"!)

I cry a lot at how nice things are in my wife's and my common life. Christmas tree in a dark living room with beautifu l music playing was especially wonderful tonight.

It was stated he was a time soldier who crossed over from the Kelvin Universe. He was obviously working in our Star Trek PU (which is how they knew about the condition that was affecting Philippa Georgiou); thus he was wearing a PU 24th century uniform in that holographic record. What's so crazy about that?
