When I first saw they were going back to MU I thought, "WHHHYYYYYYYYYYY?!" But the fact they didn't bring any MU into our universe and focused more on Georgiu's budding empathy and her desire for a second chance with her Michael made it okay.
The Guardian has appeared repeatedly in tie-in fiction, not to mention Star Trek: Online and “Yesteryear.” Which is a longer way of saying, “beats me!”
(I haven’t seen season three of Discovery yet, so bowing out of this thread now...)
It's a two part episode. Questions may ( or may not) be answered in part two. What is that door? Who is Karl? Oh, look, a mysterious door to another universe and time! No explanation necessary, because plot!
It's probably Phillipa/Yeoh's swan song on DISCO and set up for SEC31. Think of it as DISCO's Assignment Earth.Just annoying that the main premise of the season is getting so little attention, and barely gets a minute per episode, before it all gets resolved in an episode or two at the end of the season. More MU screen time than Burn is a mistake
It was a story I didn't know I wanted. It's probably Phillipa/Yeoh's swan song on DISCO and set up for SEC31. Think of it as DISCO's Assignment Earth.
I just hope he puts on the afro wig and shades.Carl is a deus ex machina.
I don't see why it would.

I don't know how to feel about this now...it's very confusing to read this statement.Found myself enjoying it, and good for them. Many of you aren't diggin it.
Also, 2 eps with no teary eyes? (Note non-use of contentious term, "crying"!)
It was stated he was a time soldier who crossed over from the Kelvin Universe. He was obviously working in our Star Trek PU (which is how they knew about the condition that was affecting Philippa Georgiou); thus he was wearing a PU 24th century uniform in that holographic record. What's so crazy about that?My post was tongue-in-cheek, but truth be told, there's no logical way that by 2379 in the Kelvin universe, anything would look the same as in the prime universe, much less a uniform from the 2360's of the latter. It's just a very odd choice of uniform to represent the Kelvin 2380's Starfleet. If anything, they should have used a PIC uniform at the least, as someone mentioned above. Unless Yor just borrowed that uniform when he crossed over to the Prime universe, but then his clothing and communicator would have been at least ten to fifteen years out of date.
