Airiam is no more. It was suggested that she should have gotten her own Short Trek and I agree. It might have been nice to see a little side story about her life before her accident. But what's done is done and "Project Daedalus" gave us what we needed.

And moving on, we have an episode called "The Red Angel". Who didn't see that coming before the titles were announced? And it looks like this will be a good one with some questions finally answered.

"Burnham is stunned when she learns her ties to Section 31 run deeper than she ever fathomed. Armed with the identity of the Red Angel, the U.S.S. Discovery goes to work on its most critical mission to date." - Memory Alpha

"Burnham is stunned when she learns her ties to Section 31 run deeper than she ever fathomed." It sounds like she finds out about Leland's connection to her parents' deaths. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes now.

So, one thing the blurb suggests is that the Red Angel's identity will be unmasked pretty early in the episode. That is to say, first they find out the identity of the Red Angel, and then they embark on whatever weird time travel plan they have. Which leads me to think Georgiou shows up and basically infodumps all over everyone. I really hope this isn't the case, because it would be very anticlimactic.

The description might be exaggerating it’s use of identity. Might just mean ‘they know she’s a time traveller from the future’

Wow... I just looked out at the window next to me at my workplace in this very moment as I opened the thread and literally the first thing in my direct line of sight is a clock on the wall of Budapest's Western Railway Station, with the hour hand pointing right at a huge IIII.

Ahhhhh...
During my heyday of elementary education (a gazillion years ago) here in the Northeast, they only taught the IV version.
I'd never seen the IIII version being used till your post.
Very weird in all my travels, that that should be the case.
I bet you'll always notice from now on that roman numeral clocks and watches will have the IIII.

Is it weird that I'm a little bummed that the runtime isn't longer? I have felt like the show benefits substantially when it hits the 50+ minute mark, and even then it tends to move like a juggernaut. Oh well.

Seems like we're going to get a lot of information here, although I wouldn't put it past them for the Red Angel's identity to be a misdirect or have some kind of caveat later in the season. Or they'll figure out that the Red Angel is "a human from the 33rd century" or something nonspecific.

So were Burnham's parents S31 agents? Or were they doing research that S31 found dangerous? Or did an S31 operation go wrong?
