News Star Trek Day Announced For 8th September, With 9 Back-To-Back Panels

My picks (braces for butt kicking):

tos: Kirk and Sulu
Tng: Picard and Riker
Ds9: Sisko
Voy: Janeway and Seven
Ent: Archer
Dsc: Burnham And Stamets
Snw: Pike and Spock

Pcd would be repped by Picard and Seven. Balance isn’t easy with more shows!

could you imagine trying to write an all-shows crossover now? Balancing all those characters from multiple parts of the timeline!

It's silly to be upset over, but it's also stupid they didn't include at least one character from each show. And dumb they didn't put an Enterprise on there.

The lack of Enterprise reminds me of when they were advertising for Enterprise during Voyager's finale and they forgot to put Sisko's name in the ad. Yeah it's not a big deal, but you're promoting this big Star Trek event and got Scott Bakula to appear on the Enterprise panel. I mean that should be something worth celebrating.

Yea I remember that. It's not a big deal, but in a way it's also a slap in the face to DS9 fans. And really how much trouble could it have been to include Sisko's name? DS9 has always been the red-headed step child....now Enterprise is too.

The first thing I was asking myself when I saw the poster was has Enterprise taken DS9's spot as the red-headed step child of the franchise. I mean it did get cancelled ending a long run of Trek on TV. Maybe there is some animosity about that, even though it was all on UPN.

The Discovery trailer seems like a safe bet, as well as some meaningless statements about canon and Gene's Vision.

"We consider it a privilege and a responsibility to honor what came before us. What's beautiful about honor is that it speaks from the heart. The human condition is canonical. We have full-sized posters depicting the late, great Gene Roddenberry performing superheroic poses. We love what Gene started and we're just so, so excited to be given the opportunity to continue his mission for a modern audience by illustrating and provoking deep, important issues that matter to the human condition, which is canonical. This year, you're going to see so much canon. It's going to be beautiful, beautiful canon, and the way that it all comes together is just beautiful. It's breathtaking. It's time-honored. It's an honor."

(I actually genuinely like All Access Star Trek but I couldn't help myself here. :P)

:rommie: You write all their press releases, don't you?

I'm surprised they didn't make a special section on CBS All Access for today. I went to the website, and the volume was very low. I would think having a special Star Trek Day section on All Access would make it easier to find and you can use the TV to watch these panels if you wanted to.
