From all I've heard, STC has been developing a bit of a reputation for curating FB comments so that only the positive comes through.
Interesting. I guess it's their prerogative to do that, but I hope someone is giving the criticism its due.
This is nothing new.
The admins at the Facebook pages for
Phase II and
Axanar do this as well.
I would suspect it's to better control the visible perception of these productions. After all, it's a lot easier to curry favor with the fans if your feed is filled with nothing but praise,
especially if you are occasionally dependent on that goodwill during "Kickstarter season."
Frankly, I'm not a bit surprised that the admin at Axanar pulls this kind of crap; and this ability to censor/control what Joe Q. Public Internet User sees online might also have factored into
Phase II's retiring of its message board forum, which has been (at least to the best of my estimation) down since May.
Likewise, this may also be part of the reason why
Star Trek Continues has never
had a public message board forum.
