Star Trek Canon Problems

Probably because the outfits for women are markedly different to men. It still speaks do an underlying sexism.

Well, all I really have to go by are what my female family members say.
My 25-year-old daughter loves the TOS outfits. She wants to cosplay as T'Pring or a Kelvan on the cruise.
My wife thought T'Pring's outfits in SNW were some of the most beautiful she's ever seen.
I don't want to call them sexist or whatnot if they're appealing to the people meant to wear them as well as those viewing them.

But having everyone naked all the time would? Lol.
Yes because it's equal. Not sure what the lol is about. :vulcan:

That outfit made me the straight man I am today!
I'm sure many would consider that a watershed moment. I think it's absurd to define it that way.

It's my opinion. Not prescriptive.

Depression is like carrying a fifty pound sack of flour on my brain. I have to force myself to not take things so seriously, then don't always do a good job of it, just ask my wife.
Oh, you can ask my wife right now as well. I'll I've got left in the tank is apathy towards many things. I am, to quote my family, "a wet blanket," and expected to just "suck it up and deal with it." Well, I deal with it by just going through the motions. Things that are supposedly "funny" don't land. Working on some painting to try and just focus on something and be successful.

One, it does sound like you're successful. Two, sometimes we do have to "suck it up" to some degree, if not for ourselves, just to give the people who are important to us a break.
I just sat in the dark last night and didn't talk to anyone to give them a break.

Oh, I know. We all have our lines.
I think my viewpoint has been skewed a bit by living most of my life in Miami. The way women dress here...hoo boy, makes TOS look downright conservative.

And God bless them, too.

I think my biggest frustration is the way men react, less the ladies reaction. If they're comfortable then fine. I don't believe it in Hollywood, due to all the coercion that goes on there, but in public fine. But, the way guys will do the whole head whip and stare just grates at me.
