Yeah, the Kirk/faux-Gaila scene was entertaining. I'm not sure where this scene was placed (seems like after Delta Vega), but I can see it kinda throwing the flow of the movie off.

That cgi critter in Spock's birth scene doesn't look too convincing. But the Kirk brothers scene would definitely have been good for the movie.

Edit: The Rura Penthe scene - here the film is again telling, not showing. "You're from the future, Nero. You want revenge against the Federation blah blah blah."

The only one I couldn't get was "Kirk, Gaila and the Kobayashi Maru." I did love the Nero scenes; I'm a fan of Nero. He's looking buff.

I agree the brothers' scene should have been left in the movie. It makes much more sense as it gives more insight into Kirk's bad boy attitude.

Exactly. Thats why the creature looks so crappy. It wasnt a completely cgi.
