Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

Are all the tv spots that are being posted in this thread the same ones that are actually being aired on tv? I just saw one during a commercial break that I had never seen before. It was mostly new footage but only one real spoiler.
Bones flying a Swarm ship while talking to Spock on a communicator. Bones tells Spock to stop "backseat piloting."

He actually says "Damn backseat driver" LOL

Tickets booked for this Saturday at 11am, I cannot wait. The reviews and later trailers have really hyped this for me after a worrying start all those months ago.

I work overnight Thursday through Sunday. Needless to say, I'm giving up some sleep to take my daughters to the first show Friday morning! Tickets already bought! Fuck sleep, Star Trek is more satisfying.

I'm really excited for Friday, there's a showing at 10:00am that I'm going to try to make. This feels special to me because it will be the first Star Trek movie I'll see in a theater.

My local theater has an 8:00pm showing on Thursday AND is a Barco Escape theater. It's safe to say I'll end up seeing it at least 4 times (standard, 3D, IMAX and Escape)

You Barco people are very lucky. I'll have to content myself with the largest 3D IMAX screen in New Jersey.

Just got back from seeing it.

Loved it. I was iffy on 2009 and enjoyed ID until it fell apart towards the end, but this was a great experience.

Great character moments, subtle references and a solid, well-presented film.

REVIEW: ‘Star Trek Beyond’ Delivers The Spectacle This Summer So Desperately Needs

http://spinoff.comicbookresources.c...e-spectacle-this-summer-so-desperately-needs/

That's a very good review.

I've got tickets booked for 3D IMAX on Friday night, does anyone have any word on what the 3D conversion is like? There's only been a couple of 3D films that I've actually enjoyed in the format (Avatar, Gravity DoFP) and I made a point of seeing STID in 2D after seeing the appalling 3D conversion of Iron Man 3.

I would be the wrong person to ask. After being so disappointed with 3D films when they made a small comeback in the 80s, the fact that modern films make it work is pretty impressive to me. I love most 3D conversion so much that I bought a 4K 3D TV and have a 3D bluray player.

My favorites are Into Darkness, Jurassic World(not a great film but a good 3D conversion), Tron Legacy, Gravity, and a few others(I do not have Avatar in 3D)...but probably the best, and one that might not seem like a likely candidate...The Martian!! The Marscapes are beautiful in 3D.

I intend to see it in IMAX 3D at some point (maybe next weekend), but the only tix available Thursday night were reserved, so they'd end up being like $22 a piece have tax and surcharge. So were just going to see standard. Besides, there will be like four other 3D/IMAX screenings at the same time, so might get better seating.
