"In the slightest"? Surely you exaggerate. They could have a lot of fun using the bare bones of the known facts:I tend to agree with @drt here. A making of likely wouldn't have been accurate in the slightest.
Gene the randy yet idealistic hustler wrestling with NBC suits, Shatner and his lid problem, Nimoy's drinking (there's your pathos), Nichols' feelings of opportunity and responsibility re race stuff, crazy writer concepts that never made it to screen, bit player resentment of Shatner's leading man ego (there's your comedy runner). They could easily get a decent TV movie out of that material.
