Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

if you want to nitpick and use semantics, it goes both ways and thus your interpretation of his words (read post above) isn't what he 'literally' said either, it's words you are putting in his mouth (in other words: your interpretation. In other words, no more valid than mine) to fabricate your own explanation of what he meant beyond the quote itself
You repeatedly told us what Pegg "literally" said (that is the word you used), which he actually did not say.

I gave what was obviously an interpretation based on what he said, and never tried to assert that it's something he actually said.

That's the difference.

and again, before declaring the man a 'good example' and take for granted that he improved his writing for women, wait for the movie or at the very least wait for an interview from him that vaguely hints he doesn't only talk about the guys and their dynamics because so far I read nothing that suggests that.
I have no idea if Pegg's treatment of female characters will be as good as his treatment of the male characters. There is no evidence to base an opinion on, only general chat about the writing process, and past examples.

this is ridiculous. I get your point but you started an argument, and not for the first time and always on that stupid quote and on the same exact point, over semantics. ???
Nitpicking over whatever he said he 'can't' write for women or he 'finds it hard to write for women' using those specific words is, frankly, pretentious as f**k. It's reasonable for someone to think that the point is the same and 'can't' or not 'can't' doesn't change it to the extent you make it seems it does. It's not like I claimed he said 'I hate women!', let's be real here. (eta: for the record, my translation of 'can't' in this context is not that he is not able to or he doesn't want to, if this is the accusation here. I often say 'I can't do x' as hyperbole to convey the concept that I'm not so good at doing something and I admit that)
This, again, seems to be just a silly pretext from your part to derail the point and remind me YOUR interpretation of his words that you probably consider a fact and more valid than mine, otherwise you wouldn't get so defensive everytime I mention that quote. Can't or not can't.
Vulcans can lie.

Probably best if everyone just drops it now. Everyone's said their piece and nothing new is being brought to the discussion except frustration.

I am looking forward to the next trailer, as well. I choose to remain cautiously optimistic.

The only replica I've seen is a knockoff which did the rounds on Facebook which has a stylized "A" in place of the delta on the left breast. I just Googled "Star Trek Beyond jacket" and found an even worse one, with a delta on each breast. Neither look at all accurate.

There is somebody on the east coast that sells (unlicensed) movie replica jackets on ebay (made in Pakistan, I think). I'm sure once the movie comes out and there are better views of all the details of the jacket, they will have one available.

Edit: Nevermind, I think they're the ones selling the jacket with the stylized "A."

The arrangement of the panels is similar to NX class. We don´t see crew. I think it is an abandoned ship.
