Star Trek Bedding

Beds look fine to me, and I'll try the triangle pillows.
Be thankful your bed's not like a Klingon's, though I could probably get a good night sleep on a Klingon bed.

Someone wake Gramps and tell him dinner's ready. Make sure he puts his teeth in.

I have to admit when I first read the title of this I got excited thinking you were going to show us some new Star Trek bedding they sell somewhere..I'm such a nerd...just what I need bed sheets with the Enterprise on it...:p

Back on topic.. the beds on DS9 looked horrific I could totally do without those. I love a big cushy bed! Picard's bed is pretty nice though. I didn't mind beds in TNG or VOY. I especially love Picard's beautiful fake plant garden behind his bed.

In the TNG screen cap above, if I were Picard, I'd spin the bed 180 degrees and enjoy the window view. Why face away from that?

So if you were going to sleep and another ship was cruising next to yours, wouldn't you be a bit concerned about someone aboard the other ship "peeking through your windows?"

Starfleet voyeurism...

How many times do we see ships flying past each other. :p

I know this is completely out of nowhere, but I've always thought whenever they show someone in bed on any of the ST shows, the beds look so damned uncomfortable. Thin covers, and cold-looking sheets. Is it just that Star Fleet is cheap when it comes to bedding, or what. They just never look comfy to me.

I always thought that was some kind of military thing.

Those sheets and pillows are designed for thermal adaptations to the user, easy to clean, will never stain, breathable, highly compress for storage, change color to match the decor, completely absorb odors so your bed partner will never notice, and can be rolled into a lethal weapon in the event of enemy boardings.

Remember, it's the 24th century.
They have it so easy in the 'evolved' future, don't they?:rommie:
The future is shiney.
 The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.

Good one!! It is too bright for me to sleep though, I hope in the future they can turn off the lights and blackout the windows.
Didn't anyone tell them? That's a headboard not a pillow... ouch!

I think it was the exchange program episode... when they explain to Riker that they do not sleep on soft StarFleet bedding... I wish Riker had responded, "You obviously haven't slept on one of our beds!"

The beds on DS9 are actually Cardassian.

I think.. confused sometimes how much starfleet brought in
I’m surprised cardassians would even sleep in something so ‘comfortable’!

I imagine the Cardashians staying up by the light of the replicator, chatting in their bunk beds
