Star Trek: Andromeda – Resonance (Fan Novel)

Hi everyone,

I’m a longtime Trek fan and first-time poster here on Trek BBS. I just finished my first Trek fanfic… a full-length novel called Star Trek: Andromeda – Resonance, and I wanted to share it with this community.

Resonance is set in the mid-27th century. It comes from an idea I created as a rising 6th grader back in 1990. Andromeda Galaxy and follows the crew of

The novel features original characters and borrows lore from a few video games from my 6th grade zeitgeist.

If you enjoy Trek stories that lean into emotional depth, philosophical dilemmas, and character complexity, I think Resonance might speak to you.

Adora didn't blink. "Do you even have a diplomatic setting?"

Sarah's mouth curled into a lopsided smirk. "Fair. But I do have diplomatic status... and I think that includes diplomatic immunity, too..."

She let loose a short snort, then bit her lip. "At least I'd better have it, after some of the shit I've let people do here. Our wet tee shirt karaoke nights? Legendary. And definitely not approved by the stiffs at HQ."

When Orin and Adora call Ambassador Sarah Portner on Pahvo, they get more information than they bargain for... including disturbing news about their daughter...

It’s a homecoming full of laughter and heart—but while Adora feels at home, Orin remains torn between his quiet life on Tomares V and being recalled to Starfleet to face the Dynarri a second time.

Orin, Adora, Jiru, Kaelun, and Nei join Ambassador Portner and the command crews of three Federation starships at the Pahvan embassy to confront the Dynarri threat. But when Nei admits she feels a presence inside her, a Vulcan mind meld with Captain Telvek of the U.S.S. Armitage reveals that Nei's been in contact with a mysterious noncorporeal entity—its nature uncertain, its intentions unknown.

Old wounds open: Sarah's attempt to kiss him, Theo's unwanted presence, and the horrifying possibility that their daughter might be exactly what the Dynarri designed her to be.

Sometimes the quietest conversations carry the most weight.
