Whereas I was more happy with BEYOND because the characters were likable for once. I'm happy to leave behind dudebro Kirk.I'm a huge TOS fan, and the one I was least happy with was Beyond. It felt like they took a step back.

With Adi Shankar's mission-statement, why even bother with Tarantino?
I'm movie producer Adi Shankar. I make unapologetically R-rated, ferociously violent, action & crime feature films.
I do. But only because of Castlevania, which was fairly good. But it was poorly edited and very poorly [audio] mixed.Because no one knows who he is...
As best I can tell, he has no involvement with either Star Trek or Paramount. He's just "a producer" who agreed to answer a few questions off the top of his head.He produces this trek? Lol
I was very happy with Beyond and ID, conversely the 2009 film is my least favourite.
I really, really want a Tarrantino Trek movie, even if he can't get access to Trek he needs to do something like Trek I want to see it.
Because that doesn't sound interesting. With Adi Shankar's mission-statement, why even bother with Tarantino?

What cracks me up is how many websites took it and ran, like Okay we have a producer of no consequence saying we don't need Pine, so it's okay Yall! Like it was JJ himself or something. Riiiight....With Adi Shankar's mission-statement, why even bother with Tarantino?

Coming soon... Orville: The Motion Picture, a Quentin Tarantino film.I really, really want a Tarrantino Trek movie, even if he can't get access to Trek he needs to do something like Trek I want to see it.

Speaking of, I'd love JJ's reaction to this...he's probably not a happy camper right now. Went to all the trouble to put together a fantastic cast and Paramount is doing its damnedest to torpedo that to hell.
I don’t understand how Paramount manages to scuttle the success of Star Trek time and time again. Be it through shoddy marketing, bad merchandising deals, terrible cross promotion, unfavorable air times or release dates, and now this stuff.
I have to feel like whenever Star Trek succeeds it’s more in spite of Paramount than because of it.
It is, yes. on one hand I'm surprised that Paramount hasn't already gone down the drain, because clearly whoever is in charge there is toxic. Or it could be the policies they have in place since it seems to be an ongoing issue with them. Whatever it is, they need to clean house if they hope to survive long term. I believe the only reason they are still around is because of Trek and I believe I heard someone mention they also have the Transformer movies as far as big name franchise. It's a miracle the franchise is still going.
Nah she/he might want to invade Disney ala Marcus styleWe need a crazy Starfleet admiral to run Paramount
It is in the Academy syllabus. Chapter 666 Appendix 13 Paragraph 31Gee I thought being crazy was a part requirement to be a Starfleet admiral.
Which IMO makes him a bad captain, he was not qualified to fix that piece of machinery, he is not an engineer. That whole scene had me pissing myself with laughter in the cinema, for me it was too contrived, Kirk and Spock had no great friendship, they barely liked each other. The scene would be more effective if it was McCoy crying his eyes out since Kirk was his best buddy. Or even put Spock back in there with Uhura beating at the glass.By the end, Kirk is forced to make the choice between him and Scotty and Kirk is not willing (yet) to allow a crew member and a friend to die. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I only know what I can do."

Mileage will vary. It wasn't that they had a great friendship-it's that there was the potential for that friendship and it was taken away. For Spock it was another loss on top of multiple losses.Which IMO makes him a bad captain, he was not qualified to fix that piece of machinery, he is not an engineer. Frankly, I fail to find the humor in the situation![]()
