Looks like it. A lot of conclusion jumping. When did THIS happen? Not that I would complain. I hope it's true. But is it just a conclusion-jumping article hack trying to earn his five cents per word?

Casual audiences could appreciate the clear line of separation, especially since the upcoming show will be part of the original timeline – not the alternate universe that began in 2009.
The TV show will either be talked about in the Original Timeline, the Kelvin Timeline, or a Timeline to be named later.
And it may be awhile - even after the show begins - before we find out which one it is.
I mean, it's not like they're going to come right out and TELL us which timeline it is. They'll leave it up to the viewer to suss out the details.
They might save it for a big reveal in the second season. A way to keep us watching.I mean, it's not like they're going to come right out and TELL us which timeline it is. They'll leave it up to the viewer to suss out the details.
If it's Prime Timeline but it carries over all the JJ aesthetics, I'll be pretty pissed.
That seems a little manufactured and too much like sexual tension to me - when it's resolved, interest suddenly drops. Sam & Diane - Cheers; Madelyn and David - Moonlighting. It's unimmersive to have a real-world question looming over the show instead of tensions and mysteries that are in-world. Why would the characters have that pre-commercial dramatic pause look on their face when we are about to find out? It shouldn't be the gimmick about the show. I hope they'll just be honest about it up front. They might save it for a big reveal in the second season. A way to keep us watching.![]()
I wouldn't compare it to sexual tension. It wouldn't be a plot-point in-universe, after all (or I certainly hope not). If done well, it would be a strong story point which could also give knowledgable fans an "a-ha" moment. That seems a little manufactured and too much like sexual tension to me - when it's resolved, interest suddenly drops. I bet they throw a curveball at us and set it in the Star Wars universe.
And the first line of the show will be "winter is coming..."Which has been conquered by the Daleks . ...
why not do a year in the mirror universe? Like Enterprise wanted to do? I like the anthology approach!
What if The Powers That Be fail to make a definite choice between timelines? What if the result is a muddled timeline rather than a definitive/distinctive one?
