I got permission from our illustrious leader (that is, Mod) M to start this one all over again.....he is going to lock this thread and then I'll restart it up in a new thread.

Hey all, just an update. I want to check in with COVE TOM before starting this up again, as the Line by Line threads are his gig and it wouldn't be right not checking in with him first.
Sounds good to me. I'm sad to see this thread end, I didnt get much of chance to be in it. I was out on leave of absence from work a whole week because I had surgery. But I was kind of sore for couple or so days and on top of that had to do other things, so I missed out on it. I guess I have to wait for the next movie, but that is long wait. Its going to be so hard to wait for the next movie, dont you agree?
Randi and I are 110% behind this idea...and the Mods SEEM to be rolling with the concept so far based on what got leaked to me...so let's do it!
So should we do both a new Star Trek XI LbL thread and a fake Star Trek XII LbL movie thread? We will need to establish some rules, probably bang out a bunch of synopsis vote on the best ones and let everyone fill in the story LbL as each poster sees fit.
Let's go hog wild since it's the Holidays...let's go for BOTH!!

I'd rather not have both going at the same time. I'd already put the brakes on a "write Star Trek XII, 'five word thingy'-style" a couple of weeks back because we already had one five-word thingy running. We do allow fun threads but, just as in the lounges, we have a policy in the pinned forum guidelines thread (everyone's read this, right?
) limiting the number of similar game/joke/parody threads running at any given time.Randi is checking with CoveTom to see whether he wants to start the new line-by-line thread and has said she'll get back to me when she gets an answer from him. Let's just stick with that plan, shall we?
I'm totally cool with starting up a new LbL thread, but I don't want to step on anybody's toes. I've been asked, privately, to start both a new LbL thread on STXI and a fake LbL thread on STXII. Somebody tell me what the concensus is on what to start, and I'll do it.

Well, if everyone is ok with a redo of this one (let's say the first one was a practice run....LOL!) then is there anyone who DOESNT want to rerun the XI thread?

This is kinda what I was thinking would be the way to go. By the time the second run-through of the movie is finished, there should be some sort of a defined story framework and boundaries worked out for the Made-up Trek XII LbL.

That shouldn't be an issue since it will probably take longer than a month to get a XII LbL thread started until than we can do XI.
Damn it! My computer crashed and I just got back on and you guys have finished the movie! Darn it man... I didnt get to contribute much but good job to all! Another one soon? What about the Voyager episode "Endgame"?
