Pike: You know that instinct to leap without looking, that was his nature too, and in my opinion, it's something that Starfleet's lost.
Kirk: Why are you talking to me man?
Pike: Cause I looked up your file while you were drooling on the floor. Your aptitude tests are off the charts, so what is it? You like being the only genius-level repeat offender in the midwest?

(as dawn breaks, Kirk rides out to the Riverside shipyard and gets his first look at the Enterprise, still under construction. He rides to the shuttle...)
Construction worker: Nice ride!

(Kirk smirks, pulls out his key, and tosses it to worker.)
Kirk: It's yours!
Kirk: It's yours!
(since it's all Kirk I'm going on a bit here. I hope no-one minds!)
(Kirk steps up to the shuttle, and passes Pike)
Kirk: Four years? I'll do it in three!
(*bang* Kirk nuts his head on a support beam I saw being sold on eBay by the Doohan family not long ago for about $3000, and spots Cupcake and co.)
Kirk: At ease, gentlemen!
(Taking a seat, he spots Uhura)
Kirk: I never did get that first name.

Kirk: I think these things are pretty safe.
