Stallone to direct Rambo 5, writing 6

Rambo was an unrequited carnage fest with very little resembling a plot, but I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy it. I say that if they're up to it, then bring on another one.

Didn't Sly say he would switch genres with another Rambo sequel? What would he do? Rambo coaches a youth football team? Rambo uncovers an underground society of vampires? Rambo unlocks clues to the lost city of Atlantis? Rambo discovers he has a little daughter and hilarity ensues? Rambo fights Rocky?

Rambo V: First Blood Transfusion.

It's a medical thriller.

Or they can do Rambo vs. The Zombies and bring back zombie Col. Troutman.

"My war's over"

"Braaaaaaaaaaaains"

Stop or My Mom Will Shoot Again.

Of course, that's going to require a zombie again. You see where I'm going with this.

Oscar was great! The other comedies he's done, on the other hand... Rhinestone, Stop or My Mom Will Shoot...

Mayor: "I've brought in someone."
Commissioner Gordon: "Who?"
Mayor: "Meet John Rambo. He'll capture the Batman for us."

Wasn't it in Airplane 2 where they had a poster for Rocky 35 or something? Seems like they simply picked the wrong franchise :D.

Well six Rambo movies would equal Rocky.

I wonder if anyone's done that many sequels for two different franchises. Mel Gibson's done 4 (Lethal Weapon) and 3 (Mad Max). That's the only one I can think of right now.

Damn, I wish I had access to the interview in the early 1990's when Stallone stated he would NEVER portray Rocky Balboa or John Rambo ever again.

^
Hmm, sounds like he might make a fine politician. Any chances of him running for governour? :D
