stalkin' my peeps - Welcome New Members thread!

Re: Hello Everyone!

What, did Q give you a chance to start over? ;)

Hello & welcome to TrekBBS: with pleasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. It is not for the faint-hearted ;)

Re: Hello Everyone!

Oh, come on, we're not *that* bad! (but propably worse :D)
Welcome to craziness, Steven. Don't let them scare you. We're mostly harmless (btw, wasn't there a poster of that name or am I confusing TrekBBS with a different board?)
It's more likely to get a goblet of blood wine here than getting a bloody nose.
And when you're in awe of some oldtimer, have a look at the old threads in the Redshirt Lounge and see for yourself what gawky newbies they used to be

welcome :)
I am not sure if there is a minimum of posts required, but be sure to visit the Redshirt Lounge when it shows up for you (the link will be displayed in the index page, right under this forum).
I can totally recommend it to all new members. It's fun, relaxed, you get to know each other and make friends. And none of the higher ranks can see it so that you needn't worry about being silly or asking something foolish.
And the lounge moderators are always the nicest Mods on the whole board :adore:

Here is a list of the ranks and their privileges: http://www.trekbbs.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_promotions

And if there's something you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask. We do have the inevitable idiot who'll bully you for asking something "stupid" but the vast majority here are nice and friendly posters.
Once you have 28 posts and have been a member here for 2 weeks, you can send private messages, so that you needn't ask publicly if you're not sure how the question will be received.

Re: Hello Everyone!

It's been said: Welcome to the madness Steven321.

(We've got plenty of Stephens and Stevens and Steves around but there seems to be no confusion.)

Re: Hello Everyone!

TNZ's alright.

I won't lie. It's taken fifteen years off my life and given me a nervous tic. But it's a fun ride if you know what to expect.

Re: Hello Everyone!

No big danger, then: as sharks need saltwater, putting them in a pond would be their death sentence.

LOL sorry, as a water biologist I just couldn't resist (rhyme unintended and unavoidable)
