Almost all the ships have enough room for everyone to have their own room. As I said earlier in the thread, 1701 certainly does.
I think they just have the lower ranks share or bunk as part of psychological conditioning. You learn to tolerate others better by having to share space with them. You can take that lesson to a situation where there's a crunch and you might not have the luxuries you're used to. There's no personal space squeezed in to a Jeffries tube doing emergency repairs, stuck in an escape pod for two weeks, pinned down on a battlefield all night, or taking shelter from an ion storm.
Once you learn this lesson throughly, among many other lessons, you get your promotion to Lieutenant and your own quarters.

They have this.... sense of superiority. They act like they are an authority in regards to Star Trek. They're basically Star Trek snobs.

The "Captain" is actually from my hometown and I have actually bumped into him in person, and yes, he wears his own custom made clothing out in public. Complete with his own insignia. Sure, when I saw him at that local event. He walked around like he was Roddenberry resurrected. I got no problem with Trek YouTube channels. I got no problem with having a love of Starships. But the attitude.... The sanctumonious way in which they present themselves.... it's too much for me.
I've been thinking lately that Pike's quarters are actually just a lounge that he decided to take over. It looked like he had two food slots in the back of his kitchen, which was kind of amusing to me. Given that he seems to love entertaining, I've headcanon-ed that, while senior officer quarters are probably pretty large in general to begin with, Pike took an extra step to have his quarters relocated to a large lounge so that he could have big dinner parties. It seems in-character as well.
I took that to mean that the damaged warp nacelle was creating drag somehow, I dunno. Someone else should come up with a better explanation.
- So Enterprise's docking tube is a downgrade from Discovery's fancy-schmancy forcefield version? And does this Enterprise not have a portside saucer docking port, like the TMP?
- Is it just me or did La'an's uniform tunic have a slanted hem across the bottom? I don't think anyone else has this? It's not bunched up or anything.
- I'm fairly certain at this point that all of the Enterprise's larger standing sets are all made on the studio's virtual volume. Engineering, the cargo bay, the big rimside lounge, and the Starbase conference set are all there. I think the "tell" is that each set has a distinct physical barrier that the actors and cameras can use as a reference. Here, there's a safety rail with steps leading downwards, aft of the AC filter Uhura and Hemmer were working on. Contrast this with the set's use on Discovery, where they're often just in the middle of an open space (like the SFHQ shuttlebay) with no visual reference. I think this makes it easier to work with as visually it lets cast and crew work more as they're on a set with a defined volume, rather than as if they were on an open-air soccer pitch.
Also, I'll point out that if SNW is indeed episodic, it means that NEXT week, for the first time in this era of Trek, we may have to rationalize why the Enterprise is pristine and shiny again after this week's rather rough first date. Hoo, been a while for that.

If the Enterprise returns to a starbase or spacedock, she could undergo repairs and be cleaned up by the next episode. Isn't there usually like two or three weeks--in universe--between adventures or something like that? It could be even longer with SNW perhaps.
Repaired by the next episode, or upgraded?
