ST:SNW S03 - Official Trailer

You might be correct. I'll go through it in real time with each episode and see how it shakes out.

Ridiculous doesn't always mean "bad..." It just means silly and obnoxious.

S1
Strange New Worlds (not ridiculous...I wish we had more like this)
Children of the Comet (see above)
Ghosts of Illyria (not ridiculous)
Memento Mori (outstanding)
Spock Amok (absolutely ridiculous)
Lift Us Up (not ridiculous, but not a great episode either)
Serene Squall (ridiculous, and total garbage)
Elysian Kingdom (ridiculous, but somewhat fun...this fits the "like TOS" category)
All Those Who Wander (not ridiculous)
Quality of Mercy (not ridiculous)
3/10 "Ridiculous"

S2
Broken Circle (Ridiculous and not very good)
Ad Astra Per Aspera (not ridiculous, decent hour of TV)
Tomorrow3 (not ridiculous, but a little far-fetched)
Among the Lotus Eaters (not ridiculous, very TOS-like)
Charades (absolutely ridiculous....stop playing Spock for laughs please)
Lost in Translation (I barely remember this one...so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt)
Those Old Scientists (ridiculous...that's all I have to say about that)
Under the Cloak of War (definitely not ridiculous...great stuff...a little far fetched, but hey...)
Subspace Rhapsody (absolutely fucking ridiculous)
Hegemony (not ridiculous)
4/10 "Ridiculous"

So....I guess that's about 35% from my admittedly cranky perspective LOL.

Nice list. I pretty much agree. It's getting borderline The Orbille silly but isn't doing it as well and it's not as funny. Also what's a with all the smiling in the trailer? Again thry used the line "we'll do this together" yet again. Lol. What next everyone congratulating amd gushing on eachother non stop? I hope we don't start getting crying in 50% or more of the episodes like STD.

With that said I've enjoyed the show but it still doesn't feel at all like a precursor to TOS. They've really moved too far from it at this point. It feels like a different universe. They need to just call this an alternate universe and than they are totally free to go any direction they want.

We have no hard contradictions between SNW and TOS.

I'd argue that TOS/TAS and TNG are more irreconcilable, particularly the Enterprise speeds cited in TOS (1,000 light years an hour per That Which Survives) which were used to go to the center of the galaxy once in TAS and once in ST5, cannot match up with TNG speeds where Voyager needs 70 years to make 70,000 light years.

Just saying that they were grinning the entire trailer across more than one episode. No one smiles that much. Do they?
It’s cherry-picked moments across 10 hours of story that takes place over a year. I dunno about you, but I certainly have plenty of days where I find myself smiling and/or laughing which would add up if I edited them all together. That’s what humans do.

Sure, why not? Especially in a montage clip meant to promote a specific theme in a production. I know, it's weird, that they might showcase only certain aspects of something in an advertisement.

Since when?
