THAT's who we need to see again in Lower Decks - the Bynars.
Agreed. To me, the Texas looks like a 2380s-era, uncrewed version of the Defiant Pathfinder that the Nova was based on.I’m not really seeing the visual similarities. I don’t think SFB was their inspiration. The ship looks more like the Nova class.
Bynars and Breen talkingTHAT's who we need to see again in Lower Decks - the Bynars.
It IS possible the E-D holodeck was a bit superior to other ships. The Bynar enhancements that created Minuet might be gone, but the potential could still be there.
It did!Did the Bynar Computer Upgrade happen before Moriarty became sentient?
That could explain alot about why only the USS Enterprise-D was able to create a Sentient Moriarty, but why we haven't seen it happen again across other StarFleet/UFP computers. It did!![]()
Question is, what Software, and was the changes the the Bynar installed reverted, overwritten, taken out secretly? If sentient holodeck AIs were the result of the Bynars then it seems odd that it can be packaged in such a portable container and not an integral part of the E-D computer system. Everyone should be able to make their own sentient AI as it appears to be software and not hardware related.![]()

I'm not going to mindbend too much to consider that the ENTIRE California-class fleet was nearby enough to warp in at EXACTLY the same time
IIRC Admiral Clancy mentioned a squadron had been sent to Coppelius. Perhaps these ships operated together anyway?Well, Riker managed to gather dozens of Inquiry-class ships to save the day. One would assume they were also all over the place.
So we now know all the current California class ships!
(Now i just need all their registry numbers…)
