But they aren't supposed to see the Romulans.

This is yet another continuity violation. This kind of thing would never have happened under Berman's watch.
you don't even know what kind of ship it is or what centuery for all we know it could be a crash, douche bag :brickwall:

And you have a warning for flaming.

I know you are new...but you *really* need to go read the rules of this board before you participate further in the forums.

If you have issues with this warning, take it to PM please.

Thanks!

Any of you young-uns who don't recognize this... this is from the destruction of the colonies in the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica pilot movie.

One of the better scenes, too (although I consider the best to be Lorne Greene on Caprica, looking at his ruined house and the picture of his wife, and then delivering his pseudo-Biblical speech in the orange glow...)

I am interested to see some genuine ship design, though. :)

Maybe I'm a little slow, but I'm struggling to figure out if some of you guys are serious or not!

I think I'm just slow.

Not serious. ;)

At the risk of faux-pissing him off still further, I'll just tell you that Santa T. Claus is rarely serious about much of anything. Except, I am told, a certain Battlestar Galactica Razor actress who, through some sort of psychic transference, has indicated to him that she wants his body as soon as possible.

Other than that - just assume that he's full of shit 99% of the time.

Did that come before or after the part where the map catches on fire?

And watch out for that other 1%. ;)

Hey...a serious post?

It could happen. :scream:

I mean, it's not happened YET, I'll grant you...in the 6 or so years that you've been here....but *still*! I mean, surely the probabilities are in our favor at this point!

Besides, you're an attorney - you of all people can appreciate how it's always safe to provide that teeny little disclaimer. Never EVER use the word 'always'. Especially when you can use the term 'Pretty Much All The Time'.

Right? ;)

This IS NOT canon...The Federation had no contact with the Cylons until Will Robinson, Dr. Smith and the Robot encountered them while on a visit with Commander John Koenig on Moonbase Alpha while helping S.H.A.D.O. fight the UFOs. This all took place as the moon was passing through the vicinity of "Earth 2".

Everyone knows that...Gawd!

That's NOT what it says in the novels.

Kewl! Those look like some SWEET Romulan fighters, Matt. Verrrrrry retro-futuristic, like theLong Beach City Hall.

And no, that can't be Pine in red at the bottom of the picture. He's not wearing a hat...

This one was fairly serious.

Really? Cus I'm with Dennis. I just assumed there was a joke in there somewhere and I just wasn't seeing it. Like maybe that one went over even MY head.

This guy is getting such a pummelling that the mods won't need to warn him for flaming. Still, it is pretty sad when a joke soars that far over someone's head. It's as if someone were to criticize Stephen Colbert for being a stupid, anti-intellectual, ego-centric, Bush-loving blowhard.

He isn't? My world just fell apart!  -- RR

Now they're ripping off "Blazing Saddles?" What's next? -- RR

Great. So now there are Cylons from 1978 in the new movie?

What's next, a little silver robot with a cheesy simulated hairline mumbling "biddee-biddee-biddee, Kirk"?

^
^^Only if Wilma Deering in her white uniform or purple jumpsuit comes along with him...

...Heck, I wouldn't even mind seeing the 57 year old Erin Gray. She has aged like a fine wine.

Also, look for Marc Singer to make a cameo as an Enterprise holophotographer-turned-freedom fighter.
