Spoiler time.

WHAT!?
They better not kill Volker. He's one of the few characters who isn't a pathetic angsty moron. Which is probably why they'll kill him. Jerks. I gues that's it for my theory that he's secretly a Tok'ra. Unless that's how he survives.

I don't care about anything else, really. Just that.

For Season 2.5

So the Blues are indeed back, they think they can dial home again, and Earth gets attacked (I'm betting it is just a bomb in the building, not an actual attack by ship).
The fuck is this shit? Why would the Blue Fish Group send a bunch of ships to chase one ship in another galaxy? Why bother with another "dial Earth" plot when we already know they're not going to make it? And why kill Volker instead of Chloe?

I can answer those questions...

1. It's angst for angst's sake.

2. Because they're morons.

3. Because the writers are morons.

4. Because the writers are morons.

I'm not so worried about the cliffhanger part anymore. We all know what will happen.
Chloe's probably gonna pull a Kes/make a heroic sacrifice. Scott will be all depressed about it. Eli will get over it. Rush will continue to be an angry Scotsman in space, Scott will continue to be a whiny emo baby in space, Young will be an overstressed jerk who shirks his responsibilities in space, Greer will be an angry tough guy in space, and so on. Brody and Volker will be awesome smart guys in space.

I'm not spoiler coding this since it says "Spoiler" in the thread title. You don't want spoilers, don't click on the thread.

Space has been airing promos, so I already knew about the Sombreroids returning and the evacuation of Destiny. The rest of it sounds pretty meh. Obviously the evacuation of Destiny isn't permanent. The attack on Earth seems so unbelievably pointless. Seriously, this show is about a ship stranded on the ass-end of the universe, and we're wasting time developing an Earth storyline? It's reasons like this the show doesn't deserve a telemovie or whatever to resolve their storyline. They barely bothered with their storyline when they had the chance.

Volker, I have mixed feelings about. I don't consider the guy to be my favourite character. In fact this time last year, I thought of him only as one of "Rush's three stooges." But, I have to say, killing him in the first episode he has somethng prominent in is very cliche and predictable. Disappointing.

Why is Greer holding a gun to Chloe? We already know her transformation has made her immune to bullets, so what does he hope to accomplish?

And why is Telford wearing Rush's clothes?

Just because she can heal fully from a bullet wound to the leg after a couple of weeks, doesn't mean she can survive a bullet to the head.

From an educated guess, Telford will make it back to Earth. That's the way to keep LDP off the screen when he should be in every episode. It'll also explain him in Rush's clothes.

The fuck is this shit? Why would the Blue Fish Group send a bunch of ships to chase one ship in another galaxy?

Uhm, err, because this ship holds the key to some huge universe-shattering revelation?
The Blue Fish Group shouldn't know about that since Rush found that out after he got access to the bridge, which was after the BFG kidnapped him.

I mean, it's possible Chloe managed to tell them about this, but I doubt it. The reason is probably going to be something lame, like Destiny intruded on their space and that pissed them off.

I thought Rush knew about that to begin with, which is why he's so obsessed with the ship.

Destiny is supposed to be the ship. The Sombreroids were attemtping to gain access to is for years prior to the arrival of Young and Rush and the gang. Then Rush of course has always believed it ti be mankind's most important discovery since the Stargate itself, and even the Lucian Alliance believe it to be sacred.

^Well played, sir. :)

I hear you. What a stupid show. It has such potential but...no, we get whining and angst and Chloe and THEY'RE GONNA KILL VOLKER!!!! Jerks.

I love his line when they find an alien ship (I can't remember the episode): "New friends. Yay."

I'm contemplating even finishing the series at this point. It will end on a cliffhanger with no resolution, and I'm not happy about it.
