At least now spiderman is being played by an actor that actually looks like he could be in high school.
To be fair, Toby Maguire was only supposed to be a teenager for a little bit of the first part of the movie. After that, he's supposed to be older. I prefer the adult Spider-Man anyway, he's been an adult for the majority of his existence (at least in the mainstream Marvel Universe).
Jeff East was in the suit? I don't remember that at all.Jeff East as the high school / 1st appearance in the costume Clark
Because the people behind them now actually know what they're doing with the property. After the last TWO Spider-Man movie series petered out into oblivion and then they are starting a completely different one, I find myself asking myself, "Why should I care?"

But the fact he was in high school at all--but played by someone nearly 30 years old, was a stretch. They should have used two actors like Superman the Movie, with Jeff East as the high school / 1st appearance in the costume Clark, and Christopher Reeve as the full-on adult hero.
It's only Phase Two where they did that. Phase One had three movies take place within a week of each other.
The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 & Thor are all happening at the same time in phase one.The three movies that took place in the same week were in phase two (Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Cap 2). As far as I can tell Phase 1 took place in a sort of compressed timeline (supposedly Iron man 1 and 2 are only about a year apart). The 'real time rule' came into effect after Cap 2 and I believe it was intended to be the MCU standard from then on.
The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 & Thor are all happening at the same time in phase one.
I don't think IM3, Cap 2 and Thor 2 are in the same week. Agents of Shield referenced Thor 2 and Cap 2 and there were nine episodes between the two films. There is timeline for MCU in this wiki:Ah, I didn't realize they'd done that twice.
