News SpaceX heavy-lift vehicles: Launch Thread

Damn, I think I am on the road at that time. this is going to be something memorable, whether it gets to space or not.

Looks like six first stage engines gradually failed followed by failure of the pyrotechnic charges to achieve stage separation. If there had been a crew on board, that latter failure would have been fatal. It's an expensive way to test all up, but I assume the telemetry will help them iron out the issues.
 
Its the first time one has flown so its hard to tell what if all the engines were supposed to operate at start (though it's an odd pattern if they left a few intentionally off, especially the roll motors in the center) but you can definitely see one flame out along the way. The end looked like something out of one of my Kerbal games.
 
That was literally like playing KSP, the cartwheeling, the forgetting to press space or screwing your staging up. All it needed was a little green man in the corner of the screen.
