Huh, I thought I posted my thoughts about it here, did I accidentally post in another thread?
I thought it was hilarious. I liked their view of the future 40 years from now even if it was a little bit 'Boomer cultural alarmism' focused. Stand up comics not allowed to do anything but compliment people and such. Especially from people who just got a near billion dollar deal even though they did a full episode of white people saying the N word, thus personally disproving cancel culture. I liked the part about medical science evolving to the point where old people are now trapped for decades in an unending dystopian state of feebleness. Even if it's like a less extreme variation of Futurama.
The thing about the 'Cartman is just playing a prank' theory is that it'd be too predictable, South Park doesn't like to repeat themselves without a twist. I think he changed sincerely, just like he changed in that erased timeline where he invented time travel. But, he's also the only character in the show whose life is better now, and I think he has no intention of unmaking his family, and he's going to fall back on his old habits trying to stop it.
Did Kenny lose his resurrection power when his mother went through menopause? There's a big question in this story, is Kenny one life only now, or will his now 70 year old mother suddenly have another Kenny baby which instantly grows into a full grown man.
