sounds, are what?

think

Because I think I have to?

Do you consider any sound a dimension of time/space in that it is the oscillations of time/space as matter expansions and compressions worthy of thought and definitions or Are these sounds a simple tool to align the time/space dimensions ?

Should we consider how hollow most things are till we know their definitions?

Well, I guess we could turn it around by discussing stellar sesimology or perturbations in the photon-baryon plasma of the early Universe and their signatures in the cosmic ray background radiation.

I like to consider sound as the transmitted pattern of vibration of molecules through a medium (usually air, can be solid or liquid or any other gas too) that is received by a suitable sensor (e.g. our eardrum, middle ear bones, and inner ear auditory receptors - but can also be an artificial receptor like a microphone) and interpreted by a suitable processing centre (e.g. the main auditory cortex located in the brain's temporal lobes, or a sound card's processor) from which actions can be carried out based on that interpretation (e.g. we turn up the music that we appreciate, we react to an auditory hallucination of a voice that isn't there, we see the little bars on the computer's graphic equaliser when we talk into the microphone, indicating that the mic is working ;)).

exactly but is that enough to give it a dimension of its own?

meaning here that: given some exact spot in space and at a known time does this sound thing have an actual dimensional value of itself?

I know mostly we work with cycles/sec but then what with the wave of sounds are they as real as the waves of light or energy

.. still , and what of power where do we put those definitions into the equation of the universe?

we can turn sounds into colors and back again ., right?

. . . we can turn sounds into colors and back again ., right?
Well, if you've been smoking some really good shit . . .

i was using a color organ (---LOL---) where each key of the computer keyboard would produce a color or each sound and midi was maped to a various shape or color as well... back in say 95 when that stuff was hot now it is second nature to see all these colors and shapes when sounds occur in a visualizer right?

( see http://www.imaja.com/ from 1993-94 +)

Off Topic--

that last thing you said "good" & "shit" well what is a good lesson to learn compared to a bad lesson what is right and wrong when you teach people? really do they need to know how to find this stuff out themselves to learn or should all the answers be given? what is good and evil when it comes to the tree of knowledge and then the tree of life then what?

Uh, you DO know in what context I used the word "shit," right?

Sometimes it's hard to tell whether a post is meant seriously or ironically. There really ought to be emoticons for that sort of thing.
