It has become something of a fantastical world, where logic and reason have no purchase. I think Sutter simply wanted to turn it all up to "11" now that he's in his last season and has nothing to lose.
Agreed 100% Walton Goggins and Kim Coates acted the hell out of that scene. In fact, I would go as far as saying Venus has been the best parts of this whole ridiculous season.Easily the most beautiful scene in the show though was that between Tig and Venus. I don't know how he did it, but Kurt Sutter found a way to throw in a beautiful pro-nontraditional love story in the middle of all this shit this season and even though the Chibs/Jarry stuff has been all over the place, the real love story I think this season is clearly between Tig and Venus.
Considering some of the stuff they've done this season, I don't think that's entirely out of the realm of possibility.I am convinced Abel is the reincarnation of John Teller taking revenge on the club!
Hey, HIjol and lennier1 (and anyone else interested!):
Have you read Ron Perlman's memoir "Easy Street (the Hard Way)"? I am almost half way through.
Wow...and I thought I liked the man before!
It is a really interesting, thoughtful read. I'd recommend looking it up!
Now, maybe I underestimate 5 year olds.. but concocting a plan to frame grandma of child abuse by pushing through the pain of mutilating your own arm seems... a bit... too advanced of a scheme. Maybe it's genetic.
The only real tragedy is ending the episode on a godawful musical montage instead of directly after Gemma's death. The whole sequence at her father's house was incredible. Emotionally cold (in a good way), but incredible.Three regulars down now. Of the three, the only real tragedy was Unser, though the case can certainly be made that he knew what he was getting into.
When his character appeared, I thought to myself "Hey, he looks and sounds like Michael Chiklis...too bad it's not really him." I didn't realize it was actually him until I looked at the cast list in regards to another character. I guess the joke is on me.Another welcome surprise was seeing Michael Chiklis as Milo. I'd all but given up on his appearing in some capacity on Sons of Anarchy, but I think with his appearance, that now covers everyone from The Shield making a guest appearance except Catherine Dent and Michael Jace, and (obviously) Glenn Close.
I thought the scene with Jax and Gemma was very Norman and Norma Bates-y in its weird calm, and I especially perked up when he inquired about that last copy of "J.T.'s old manuscript" ... I've been wondering if the show would go back to that little plot device, as it was so integral in the early years of the show to Jax and his motivations. I'm guessing it will play some part in next week's finale, either for Jax or for Abel.
What did you guys think?
Not at all!^^ Part of me kind of wanted it to be Vic Mackey. Is that bad?![]()

FAN APOLOGY
It has been brought to my attention that our SOA Collector's Edition Book has been sent out a week early by some distributors and book outlets. This book contains details about the final episode of the series. This, my friends is a storyteller's worst nightmare. I wanted this book to be a compliment to the show. It contains personal messages and photos from the cast, in-depth behind the scenes information and detailed breakdown of episodes. It's a smart, well-conceived book that I was very excited for the fans to have. AFTER the motherfucking finale. There are a thousand fucking people I can blame. And I assure you, by the time I am done, my fucking basket will be filled with heads of incompetent cunts. But as far as the fans go, the burden is on me. I fucked up. It was my idea for the book, so ultimately, I am to blame. So if you received a book, I apologize. I ask that you not share your wrath or pain or opinion in social media so as to not spoil the experience of others. There is no excuse for utter ineptitude. It pains me that this will be the parting memory of some fans. I hope you all tune in for the finale. It plays much better than it reads.
Sincerely
ks

"A lot of people are going to meet Mr. Mayhem on Tuesday night — a lot of people," he says. "So don't be expecting that everything you heard is the entire story because this is a very complicated finale story and there's going to be a lot of mayhem to be had.
People shouldn't look but you can't stop people from doing what they're going to do. What really pisses me off — to be really frank about it — isn't the people looking, it's the people sharing," he says. "It's okay, if you really need to know before you see the show, you should go find out, but don't put it out there for people who don't really want to know and don't want to see it and don't want to see if on their timelines."
'Sons of Anarchy' director on spoiler leak: You haven't heard the whole story
I think Chuckie will probably survive too. Riding off into the sunset on his Vespa...![]()
But nope, let's shoot biker thug guy in the arm just so I can just go kill myself in an hour anyway. Sure, why not.
