Someone Might Be back. Again. (Possible Spoiler)

And there she is.

Also there were Nicholas Briggs and his vocal box of tricks and Barnaby Edwards. (So we know what that means...)

Say it with me!

Mondas Cybermen!
Mondas Cybermen!

Yeah...I'm not holding my breath either.

Those are from the 70s they improved them in the 80s....

Also I'm pretty sure Nicholas Briggs has done more voices than just the Daleks and the Cybermen. Could be the Silurians or the mechanoids for all we know.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Failing that, how about Telos Cybermen? :D

Only if they come up with a Cybermen costume that doesn't look like a 12-year-old's Halloween costume.
Ever heard of "don't judge a book by its cover?"

A meaningless comparison, as the point of "Don't judge a book by its cover" is that prose is not a visual medium and it is therefore inappropriate to judge its quality by the visual quality of the exterior binding.

Television, on the other hand, is a visual medium, and Doctor Who is one that in particular follows a Realism/Naturalism production conceit. As such, it is incumbent upon the production team to at least attempt to make the aliens look plausibly Naturalistic and not as though they picked the costume up in the kid's section of the local Wal-Mart.

In addition to serving as the voice of the Daleks and the Cybermen, Briggs has provided the voice of the Nestene Consciousness and of the Judoon. He also portrayed British Foreign Secretary Rick Yates in Torchwood: Children of Earth.

What I wonder is, will the Doc ever plan an escape for River from the Library mainframe? If so, we get to see Doctor Moon again. I mean, she's still in there, and the Doctor doesn't give up easily.

See, this is something that's bugged me ever since I saw that two parter.

River Song is DEAD. She's DEAD. She's GONE. The person that was River Song is forever gone, dead, and irretrievably lost. Same with everyone else that died in that episode and was "brought back". The only thing that exists now is a "psychic impression". A mental imposter. A mere image of the original.

Well newish, but I think the concept of how they looked is good enough. I found them scary as a child. Keep the same head with a sleeker body would be my suggestion. I still prefer them to the chunky clunkers of the other universe.

I had the impression, leaving the episode, that there was more of a psychic impression of River in the computer than there was of anyone else on her team. (Which is why she becomes the "mother" to the consciousnesses.)

I wonder if the TARDIS would countenance downloading River's "psychic impression" into the TARDIS's core, or would the TARDIS become jealous? Obviously, not the TARDIS at this point in time; the TARDIS doesn't know her yet. But, assuming that at some point in the future the TARDIS does...

Interesting thought.

[embarrassed cough] I agree with you on that [/embarrassed cough]

Yes they could do with a bit of touching up and improvement for HD etc, but they don't look like some costume a young goat (I mean child) would wear on that infernal Americanised holiday.
