Soon, they use an Ancient device that lets them swap bodies with people at the SGC, so they are still able to be on Earth.

Well, on one hand, it is exactly what a large group of fans--myself included--have been clamoring for: something different. On the other hand, my lack of faith in the creative team behind the series knows no bounds, so I'll wait and see if it lives up to their talking points when the thing airs. Hard to tell from these short bits.

I want something different too, and I appreciate that, however, I don't want a BSG clone. Couldn't they make something different different?

But is it actually a BSG clone or is the advertisement just passing it off as one? And I'm not convinced that Stargate in the Galactica style would be a bad move--maybe it won't stand up under pressure, but anything outside of the norm is a must for this franchise.

Three times, as many as LDP says "real". Maybe it'll be real different.

Eh, nothing about this makes me feel one way or another towards the show. I do like the look of it (if only because it looks slightly more "real" than the previous SG shows). I'm probably not gonna be able to watch it on TV anyway, so I will have to wait for reviews to determine whether or not to pick up the DVDs.

At this point I don't care about the show but will give it a chance. SCI FI have done a pathetic job at promoting the show and knowing it will probably be cancelled after 4/5 years with no ending should anyone give a crap ???

I've just seen STAR TREK get re-invented to great appulse and now I feel SG is well going for a nervous breakdown the franchise needs a rest and copying BSG could be a mistake especially with one of SG's biggest +'s is the hmor which this looks to lack.
