Some Interesting Sightings for Trek Actors...

Or maybe that should be 'Some Interesting Sightings of Trek Actors'...

-John Billingsley is on 'True Blood' as a towns-person. I don't know his role, outside him being a towns-person, because I'm still new to the show.

-Michelle Forbes, who has just brilliant on BSG, is now portraying (or portrayed, since I think her character is done...as the current episodes is leading up to a new season) another villain-ness on 'True Blood.'

-Jeri Ryan was(is?) on 'Leverage'...(I don't know if she is a recurring character)...

-Roxann Dawson is one of the producers of 'Cold Case'....which I'm slowly but surely getting into.

I'm watching Six Feet Under from the beginning again (now halfway through season 3), and I noticed John Billingsley in one of the early episodes - I think it was in season 1, maybe season 2. He was at the beginning of the episode, in the 'death of he week' segment, and was credited as 'Boring Man'. His role was short but very funny - he is a guy who keeps blabbering on and on in a really insufferable way, while his wife is silently making breakfast, until she has enough and just hits him over the head with the pan, killing him.

It is referenced later in the episode in the dialogue between Nate and David:
- She just killed him?
- He must have abused her... or maybe he made her do some really perverted shit...
- No, she said he was just boring.
(pause)
- You know... I can actually understand her.
- Me, too.

:rommie:

I recently spotted a young Zachary Quinto in an old episode of CSI. He was playing an auto mechanic.

I just assume that every TV show has at least one actor/actress who appeared on some incarnation of Star Trek at some point in their careers.

Michelle Forbes was on an episode of Lost back in 2008, didn't recognise her at first, I once saw an episode of Diagnosis Murder where Robert Beltran, Marina Sirtis and I think Levar Burton all played conspirators either that or it was Murder She Wrote, one of the two lo;

Hmmm....and since I've read this post, I've been trying to come up with some shows that didn't have any Trek actors in it...

A few I came up with:
The Prisoner, Daybreak....UFO...War of the Worlds...

That should be a challenge in another thread...

As is probably already posted, Jeri Ryan is Sonya Blade in a Mortal Kombat short film, being shopped around to investors....

I saw a bit of Throw Mama from the Train again last night on TV - Kate Mulgrew as Billy Crystal's hated bitchy ex-wife. When she was fucking the gardener she was calling 'my chivava" while they were both barking like dogs, I thought 'I can't see Janeway doing this'

Yesterday I was flipping channels and saw a young, bearded Rene Auberjonois in 'Charlie's Angels' on AXN. (I don't watch the show, but since I watch some others on that channel, I happen to see a scene here and there by just checking the channel.) He seemed to be playing a villain, and he actually hypnotized one of the 'angels'. I think his character was a magician or something. His voice sounded unrecognizable - I don't mean just from Odo's voice, but from Rene's usual voice as well.

Speaking of 'Charlie's Angels', I also saw young Marc Alaimo a while back - he was in one scene, playing - surprise, surprise - some lowlife criminal.

Marc Alaimo was also in the last (broadcast) episode of "The A-Team", entitled 'Without Reservations'.

Yep, you guessed it, he played a mob gangster, having dinner at the restaurant where Murdock had got a part-time job.

I always found Jonathan Frakes' turn on Lois And Clark to be on the of the more bizarre sightings of Trek actors in other stuff; he's just so...odd in it!

I've seen a director credit for Roxann Dawson on all kinds of shows.
She was the director on an episode of "Close to Home" when Connor was guest starring.

Or maybe that should be 'Some Interesting Sightings of Trek Actors'...

He was also on Nip/Tuck playing a guy who believed one of his legs was an extraneous appendage and wanted it cut off.

Creepiest sighting ever. The morning after watching Fritz Weaver play an evil Cardassian on DS9, I spotted him strolling down the sidewalk outside my apartment!
