So what are you reading, now? Part V

Read Echoes, one of the Voyager novels. Not bad, tho it suffers from a ending where the reset button gets pressed.

My next serious read is Electric Universe. For fiction, I just received The Sword of Damocles in the post. I've not read Thorne before, at least not to my knowledge.

Just finished WOLFBANE by Patricia Briggs. Now I'm reading the previous book in the series, MASQUES. (Yes, I'm reading the series backwards. Oops!)

Currently Mission of Honor by David Weber. After that, I've got the two Torch books from the Honorverse and one of the anthologies.

For the trek side of things, I'm just keeping an eye out for the books I want to come out.

Just finished the 'Away We Go' screenplay...and finishing up the stageplay 'Geometry By Fire' by Stephen Belber...

currently reading star wars: the new jedi order. I'm on Agents of Chaos I: Hero's Trial. So far, the series hasn't been bad. Started off great with Vector Prime, but I wasn't too impressed with Stackpole's Dark Tide duology. but Hero's Trial has blown me away so far.

Having finished the enjoyable Iris: Abroad (fourth in Obverse Books' series of Iris Wildthyme anthologies) I read Chasing the Cyclops by William Latham. Latham wrote the Space: 1999 novels Omega and Alpha, which (along with novels by David McIntee and others) explained the unresolved mysteries from the show's first year and the differences between the first and second year and set the stage for what comes next. Chasing the Cyclops is a nonfiction book describing what went into the story's evolution. To be honest, I wasn't all that crazy about Omega and Alpha, but this was an interesting book that explains why events played out as they did.

Still reading Duma Key, but now listening to The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King in the car. Liking it a lot better than the first time I read it. I should read some other books that I read 10 years ago to see if my opinions have changed.

I finished Imzadi. It was enjoyable, but not as awesome as the hype. Some of the Troi/Riker stuff was cringe-worthy, but I liked the peek into Betazoid life. Best line goes to Old Riker: "You picked the wrong focal point!", which has to be up there with McCoy's classic "are you out of your Vulcan mind?!"
Blair and Mary Mac were neat characters. I liked the idea that the Wookie look(ie) briefly sported by Marta in STVI is the Chameloid's true form.

I finished Full Dark, No Stars this morning. A good collection of novellas. I think if I had to pick a favourite it would be either "Big Driver" or "A Good Marriage", but the other two were good as well.

Finished: The Moon is a Harsh Mistress - liked it pretty well......my first Heinlein novel.

Starting: ST:TNG - A Time to be Born. (First Trek book I've read in years and years. Assuming this is the place to start to get back up to speed with the latest books)

Very much looking forward to reading this.....last King books I read was Under the Dome and UR and I enjoyed them both pretty well...........sadly, many books stand between me and Full Dark right now.

Yes, sort of. They're set before Nemesis, but the last three books in the series set the TNG Relaunch "proper" (beginning with Death in Winter off on its own.)

I've decided to just read one book from now on, so as soon as I finish Zero Sum Game and Tears of Eridanus, I'll be reading just Seven Deadly Sins.

Just finished Section 31: Abyss. As much as I never bought the Bashir/Ezri thing, the authors pulled off characterizations pretty good. On to the next one in the DS9-R, the Gateways one that I forget the name of (reading e-text, so I can't just look at the top of the page :-) )

Finally finished slogging through The Red King (meh) and got started on Orion's Hounds.

Also started Yours, Isaac Asimov!
