So What Are you Reading?: Generations

I finished Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Sacraments of Fire by David R. George III. While not much got resolved story-wise (it seemed like it was mostly setting up Ascendance) it was still very enjoyable.

I'm now reading Star Trek: SCE: The Riddled Post by Aaron Rosenberg.

I'm just starting Triangle: Imzadi II in my continuing Trek rewatch/re-read. I am sort of reading in release order but I'm cheating and reading Imzadi II before the New Frontier novels.

after getting caught up on the "cannon" star wars books with Lords of the Sith and Dark Disciple, I'm gonna get back to trek, with my post-series read through of everything. I had gotten through the first 4 post-series DS9 books. I'm about to start DS9: Mission Gamma - Twilight.

Currently, it's Seekers (3): Long Shot. Great so far.

I thought they were ok, but the last couple have put me off somewhat.

Without going into too many spoilers, it's that they have reset parts of the series.

I've just moved on to Peacemakers by Richard Herman.

I read the Sphinx by Robin Cook a very exciting mystery novel and Hight Flight by David Hagberg. A great spy story ,It's a very complex fast paced story about a space plane. I really like this novel so far. Star trek Seekers Book 3 Long shot By David Mack.

Going through the Voyager books. I don't know why I didn't read them 'back in the day' as we had a library from all the other series.

Anyway at the moment I'm on the Fourth book Violations.

I read about half the old numbered Voyager books last year. Man that was brutal, there are some losers there. My favorite of them is The Black Shore by Greg Cox.

I've been reading the TNG books this year and on average they are a lot better.

since i'm needing both a star wars and star trek fix, i'm currently reading Darth Plaguies andn going in chronological legends order. I'm just torn between diving back into Vanguard or the overall post-series TNG/DS9/VOY with Mission Gamma: Twilight.

I'm halfway thru Shatner's The Return as part of my massive Trek re watch/re read. Next up is The Black Shore, which is my favorite of the numbered Voyager novels - a really great read that I'm really looking forward to reading again.

Just posted my review of Michael Jan Friedman's hardcover novel, Reunion. Not bad, pretty solid! Kind of makes me want to check out the Stargazer series, which I've never really had an interest in before. Has anyone read them? What did you think?

It has been ages since I read them, but I remember that they were a bit uneven.

I really liked Gauntlet, Progenitor and Oblivion (my favorite of the bunch), Enigma was O.K. and Three and Maker were pretty average.

I liked Reunion better than the Stargazer novels.

I read Snowblind by Ragnar Jonasson. It's been translated from Icelandic, and I think something has been lost in a translation. It was interesting enough to read the next translated one that's coming out later this year.

Then, I breezed through the second Temperance Brennan novel, Death du Jour. It was a book filled with silly coincidences, but I really like Reich's style of writing.

Now I'm about 20% through Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds. I read a little bit of this in high school and put it down for some reason. The time shifts are confusing at first, but I'm really loving it.
