I finished reading Star Trek Gateways Chainmail by Diane Carey. I didn't like this book the story was just very uninttersting dull.I don't like the Challenger crew .Keller was very annoying he certainly wasn't the right leader for a Starship crew. I didn't care for the original New Earth books either. it took me a long time to finish reading this book. It was a very boring story. I'm now reading Epedition Whydah by Barry Clifford.

I just finished 'Abyss' by Dean Weddle. It was really good. I'm still on the fence with Vaughn, no matter how much intrigue is added to his character, he still feels skeletal to me. I kinda wish an existing character had been further developed in the DS9 relaunch rather than introducing Vaughn. I liked the scene with him and Quark regarding Prynn in this book, predictable but well-written and very easily visualized.
I was gonna read 'Sacraments of Fire' next, but Amazon recommended 'Cloak' by S.D. Perry, so I'm going with that. I'm guessing this is related to "The Enterprise Incident" somehow, guess I'll find out

Been quite a busy month for me. I finished The Winds of War by Herman Wouk. It's a historical romance that covers the invasion of Poland up to Pearl Harbor. Sometimes the characters being in all the key moments in history seems a little contrived, but I really enjoyed it. I read all 1000 pages in just a couple of weeks. War and Remembrance is next in the duology. I'm sure I'll be getting to that soon. I'm bad about only reading Book 1 of stuff though. I'll need some prodding. 5/5
Then, I polished off Revival by Stephen King in a couple of days. It's not as good as 11/22/63 or Lisey's Story, but in parts it delivered just as an emotional punch as those two did. The novel is about a pastor fascinated with electricity... and I don't won't to spoil too much. I enjoyed it. 4/5
I listed to a few Stephen King novellas/short stories on the drive down to the beach this week:

Now I'm halfway through Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. This is my first experience with the author and I'm really enjoying it. Despite some technical jargon for about 20 pages for some reason, it's been a really easy and fun read. The moon explodes forcing the worlds best and brightest of each nation to rapidly expand the ISS. And then I think the last 1/3 of the book is set about 5,000 years later. I'm excited to get to that part.

Just finished reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King for the third time and was happy to see that a TV miniseries adaptation of the book will be coming out sometime next year.

Just started The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams.
Finally got around to Una McCormack's Crimson Shadow and loved it way more than I thought I would; I'm not big on the politics of the Trekverse or Cardassians, but she sold it all the way.
I've decided I've spent too long agonising over catching up to current events and plan on buying Takedown when I head into town on Monday. I've got Destiny, and I'd like to finish The Fall series but I'm not going to worry about continuity too much.

Just posted my review of New Frontier: The Returned, Part 1. So happy to see the New Frontier characters back!
I decided to set aside the Fantastic Four collection, World's Greatest after finishing the first of two arcs in the book. I then started Magic Dreams by Ilona Andrews, a novella set in the same universe as the Kate Daniels series, but told from the perspective of one of the supporting characters from the main series.
I'm reading Star Trek TOS From History's shadow by Dayton Ward.

I just finished reading From History's Shadow . I really enjoyed it I hope besides Roberta Lincoln returning That Mestral will also return again in Elusive Salvation.
I finished Once Burned. I'd say it was probably the best New Fronteir book out of all I've read, which is up to Stone and Anvil. It lacked most of the weirdness NF usually has, apart from the Captain's Table stuff. I love the character of Calhoun even more now than I did before, and he is the entire draw of New Frontier for me anyway.
On to Star Wars Coruscant Nights 2 now. Plus I'm still reading through the DC Comics second TOS series. Im in the midst of The Tabukan Syndrome right now.

With no new Trek to read until Seekers #3, i finally, FINALLY, finished WarDilmore's Seekers: Point of Divergence. I've been reading it on and off since it came out, but the flow of the story had me constantly putting it down in favor of other more exciting reads. Constant recapping was getting super annoying, but I was able to finish. Hopefully their next Seekers book flows easier. Next up is the last part of PAD last paper NF book, Blind Man's Bluff. Another book that I've put down about 10 times due to flagging interest...
Finished Sacraments of Fire this morning and... didn't love it. I left some uncollected thoughts in the review thread.
I did start up Voyager: Protectors today and it's already cleansed my palette in just 44 pages. Kirsten Beyer's got a great handle on her little slice of TrekLit.
I also read the 6 page introduction to Heda Margoulis Kovaly's Innocence; or, Murder on Steep Street and I'm debating dual wielding the books, which I normally don't do.

Just finished The Fold by Peter Clines. It's almost beat for beat the same structure as his last novel set in the same universe, 14... but whatever works. There are loads of pop culture references that are going to be dated in about 20 years, but they're stuff to chuckle over now. I breezed through it in just a few days, so I know I enjoyed it, but I wish he had more of the depth that John Scalzi has while still keeping the humor.

Recently read the Maze Runner trilogy, good reads. Currently reading the final book in the Atlantis Gene Trilogy by A.G. Riddle. Highly recommended, lots of action and a very interesting premise. Gonna read the two latest Voyager books after this.
