So not Romulans, not Klingons, not the Borg...

Or maybe combine a comic, Harry Mudd angle with something that erupts into a threat from the Tholians.

Something where a Harry Mudd type (hell, Mudd himself!) does some kind of swindle on the Tholians, which in turn ends up to be something that ends up a huge problem.

Only problem I would have is the question of how to make them "fit in" with the "realness" of nuTrek
Tholians. Seriously, I would fucking love that. But realistically speaking its not going to happen.

....the heck?

When did realism play into Star Trek all of a sudden? Let me count down the the most realistic moments in this movie and see if they'll actually care.

- There's a substance called red matter that creates black holes that devastate and destroy anything it comes in contact with, or just transport you through time.
- Transporters can now be used to transport anyone to almost any point in the galaxy even if the destination is traveling at Warp Speed.
- Steel and Concrete are common materials used to construct spaceships.
- Supernovas can turn into violent anomalies that can threaten the entire galaxy.
- When a cadet who's acting first officer verbally attacks the acting captain, disobeys his orders and later physically assaults two security officers, he is still eligible to command a starship when the acting captain steps down from his position.
- You can breath air very efficiently thousands of feet up in the sky on a planet that much less of a breathable atmosphere compared to Earth.
- EVERYONE can use a transporter better than the assigned transporter technician.

Why are you bringing in the element of 'realism' in this discussion again?

In the next movie I want to see repercussions for Neros ship taking out 45 Klingon vessels. So I wanna see the Klingons and Romulans at war.

This will bring back the Klingons as villains. That's right, I want the Klingons back as the Federations enemy. Screw the thread title. :p

if they were back as baddies, I could support it. Just no more of this Klingon opera shit...
