Didn't Fires of Pompeii say something about the Doctor's name being 'hidden in the medusa cascade' or something like that? There was apparentally an incident there or something in the Doctor's past (Apart from the Dalek stuff).

Perhaps we'll be revisiting the cascade at some point. Even though Moffat is making his own mythology at points, he's still been respectful of RTD's (The untempered schism, for one) at points.

the Doctor sealed the rift at the Medusa Cascade when he was 90, just a kid, really.

Sealing the rift at the Medusa Cascade must have been quite the accomplishment, since the Master lists it among the Doctor's greatest accomplishments in Last of the Time Lords.

My impression was that he sealed the rift during the Time War, or at the very least, long after his first visit there. Those were two separate incidents, is what I'm saying.
