SMALLVILLE Winter Hiatus Thread *Spoilers!*

I really hope that they don't do a Jim Phelps with her character, and have her become eeeeeeevul, just so that they can take her out of the mix. I don't think that's what will happen, but on this show, you never know.

The US Government has gone mad.

Curfews?

Vigilante Registration Act?

Secret Prisons?

Even if the minds of America's leaders were not being infiltrated by the insidious programming of Darkseid, people should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of it's people.

For it's own good, Clark and the rest of them, or just Chloe by herself has to walk on Washington and take back their country from the evil alien influence and the small ideas of petty petrified politicians, and if there is some time, a decade or two perhaps between an orderly transfer of power between the wretch that America has become and free democratic elections leading to perhaps even an honest government, I'm sure Chloe wouldn't mind just sitting in while everything is being shuffled around and itemized.

(And that's how you make a supervillain ladies and gentlemen.)

the reason we have better off then most countries....
there are more guns in the hands of citizens then in the hands of the military.

My bet is still on Chloe becoming the new Dr. Fate. I think she turned herself as a way to help the others and begin her training. Could be way off here (smallville tends to render these types of theories invalid) so who knows.

So after she becomes Fate, can her mother, or the juice they extract from her mother "control" Doctor Fate?

Saw Black Alice as a Gothy Doctor Fate in Secret Six a couple weeks back.

Well, if she doesn't, it was a waste of time to have her play with the Helmet of Nabu and look into the future. It's still the most logical direction for her character to go at this point.

that ole..... Fake out... ur a decoy.... just doesn't work.... You'd expect standards on this show but..... apparently those standards are set so low a ant could jump em easily.

Someone wanted Chloe in leather?

^ Is that Dinah? I'm gonna go out on a limb and state that Chloe/Ollie will be resolved by series end and they will find a way to get him with Dinah. After doing some thinking I think they may have decided to go with Ollie/Chloe in the first place because of what happened in the last year or so with Ollie and Dinah in the comics. Their short lived marriage falling apart. There was no need for them to be put together in "Smallville". I've never really bought their relationship. Like most things in the series it was forced on us.

I'm waiting to see, what develops in the next few episodes. But if they bring back Lex toward the end they should use one of the actors who played him in the fan film Worlds finest, and Luthor for President those two actors followed the direction that Michael had set up,and made the role their own.
That's IMO.

If you're not going to hook up your secondary characters, you're a lazy producer.

See Castle this week? :D

I think Chloe and Ollie are darling, because they're just so blonde together like they're going to bobble off into the sunset and create a master race.

That does look like a leather jacket. So if I'm right about how she is Matrixy, it just means that Kelly and Tardwit don't know the difference between leather and PVC. It must have been a freaking comedy of errors when they hooked up at the Christmas party that time.

It's probably not Smallville but...

from Michael Ausiello comes this blind item:

Here’s some news that’ll excite a buncha you… and then frustrate that same bunch, because — sorry! —it comes in the form of a Blind Item: A hit drama series whose final season was announced in the last 12 months may not be ending after all! Know which one yet? I’ll give you some clues…

Though the network told the world that the plug had been pulled, apparently not everyone involved in the show was in agreement about that. In fact, to this day, talks are ongoing behind scenes to extend its run, one way (in its current form) or another (in a tweaked form or even as a series of TV movies).

Something for Ollie/Hartley to do after Smallville is over? A green arrow series could work. Perhaps Roy could be introduced.

Awesome that new tweaked series about a group of teens that hangs out at the rebuilt Talon and talks about all the freaks in town is going to rock!
