Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

Crikey.

So does that mean that Clark copies her blue costume, or Martha made one for her too but she didn't dick around with it like Clark... She has a kryptionian education and social maladjustment and then there's all that time in the Phantom Zone... "Supergirl" just doesn't fit some one in their mid twenties who has the experience, skills and raw power to take over the planet, but then they have been about infantalizing kara from the beginning since she should have had as much regard for Brainiac as we would for a pocket calculator since she is from a world were AI is common place and boring but she's more dopey than the most slack jawed sistercousin cowpolke yokle in Kansas you're likely to find while swinging a cat if Lois' stereotypes she's been toting for the last few years are anything to be believed.

I remember watching the episode where Laura wore that bathing suit and I retched a little because it looked like some her ribs were trying to escape. She needs to eat a cookie... Her underwear shot on V last year was far less alarming.

Nah Guy this is Smallville...the title of the episode won't mean anything to the plot of the episode except that Kara is in it.

I rage against the dying of the light always.

And nothing screams the twilight of social relevance than Smallville.

The other Ashmore twin called himself "Superboy" back in his episode, but methinks this is more to do with the press following an urban legend of some sort of "Supergirl" walking the earth saving the day like a genderbent Red-Blue She-Blurr?

In another universe the "Supergirl" episode would have either

-Set up Laura for her own Scooby gang/Smallville spin off. A reverse Buffy/Angel Situation

-Fangasm moment as the CW's new show about Supergirl crosses over for an episode with CW's Smallville.

BTW Episode 2 title revealed

Shield

Nah, Clark will notice a man frozen in the snow next to the Fortress.

Captain America visits Smallville!
I post this link, in the knowledge that I may have just made myself look very silly

Assuming this "The Shield" is for real, I am yet again forced to wonder, why Marevel didnt sue DC for copyright infringement.

However I see that DC did not go as far as actually giving him a shield.

The Shield is old school. He predates captain America by 14 months. That's just the latest volume since DC bought him from Archie Comics.

Joking aside we all know that the family crest on his chest (His chestcrest? Chrest?), the fricking "S" is commonly referred to as his "Shield", so lets not confuse the people passing by too much?

in that case, did DC Comics not think to sue Marvel.

The more I see of charcters from either DC or Marvel, sooner or later I find one from the other company who is pretty much identaical.

maybe this is the episode where Clark gets those plastic shields he can throw at people, like he did in Superman 2.

Well it was (the company that would one day be) Archie Comics who owned the Shield in the 40s, some called Impact comics in the 80s which is where I first noticed and ignored the character and now finally DC in the red circle expansion.

Once upon a time Charlton Comics was sued till DC owned them because Captain "The Power of Shazam" Marvel seemed far too similar to Superman.

An unmistakable Peter Parker just appeared in JMS's Superman 701 coming out of a diner where Superman was eating lunch. Marvel and DC have an amicable working relationship right now and I doubt either company would seriously do anything to affect that...

Well I don't see the problem. Peter Parker has worked at the Daily Bugle since the late 70s.

The Tarantula from the Allstar Squadron was briefly called Spider-Man by the press before he corrected them.

I was watching some season 9 Stargate SG1 and I could swear that there was a she-jaffar pomping about called "Kal-El" which was quite disturbing... but then they thought it was all right to saddle Louis Gosset Jr with a name like "Garrak" on that show as if it had never been used before in recent science fiction.

Wait a minute here folks...I'm the Laura guy. You guys have stolen Chloe, Erica, and Cassidy. Laura has been mine from the start...yes I used to watch and love her and Alex Johnston (here's hoping Saturn Girl returns) on Instant Star! I'll bring the BBQ steak and beer.

Good, then Kristin is for me :D

Othello might have something to say about that!

Damn right I do!!! :censored:

BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!! :devil::angel:

I'm the one who constantly defends her againt the misguided souls here who costantly attack her character and say she's not the best looking woman on the show!!

You guys remember Kara right? No? well here's a refresher

Why do I bring her up? Well.......

I don' give a damn why you brought her up, all I know is, all the blood in my body just jumped straight into my brain, and it may be weeks before I'm able to form a coherent thought.

Something is wrong if your brain isn't your largest and most versatile sex organ.

I stick my fingers in my ears to masturbate.
