Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

Allison Mack Takes To The Stage

Allison Mack has joined the cast of Nora and Delia Ephron's off-Broadway Love, Loss, and What I Wore at the Westside Theatre in Manhattan starting July 28. The performances for this limited run will continue through August 29, and also features Victoria Clark, Adriane Lenox, Jayne Houdyshell, Kate Mulgrew, and Kristine Nielsen.

This news was first announced at Playbill.com.

Hopefully this month-long gap doesn't mean that Allison will miss Smallville's 200th episode, which should be shooting around that time. Thus far Allison's Season 10 contract as Chloe and the amount of Season 10 episodes she will be appearing in have not been confirmed. It is also possible that the number of performances per week won't affect her time for Smallville, but again, there is no way to know unless official word comes from show representatives.

Fans of Allison, however, should take a chance to see Allison performing on stage - if you go, let us know how it turns out!

Me too. :(

On the subject of Allison's non-Smallville roles, does anyone here know if her short-short indie movie 'Alice & Huck' is available? I keep seeing stills from it, and allegedly it's completed. The concept sounded intriguing.

I don't think so unfortunately regarding "Alice and Huck" I've been intrigued by it also but have found nothing. On other news I just read Brian Peterson and Kelly Saunders facebook page status and they said that they're looking forward to making some announcements at comic con and may have casting news to report before then!! So finally we might get some legitimate news to discuss in the near future!!!

Laura Vandervoort is coming back for an episode next season...

Current V extra-terrestrial Laura Vandervoort has inked a deal to reprise her role as Clark’s Kryptonian cuz Kara during Smallvlle‘s 10th and final season, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Vandervoort—who left the show at the end of season 7 only to return briefly the following fall to wrap up Supergirl’s story—will be back for one episode (tentatively scheduled to air in October).

Smallville and V are both produced by Warner Bros., so it’s safe to say the actress’ comeback was signed off on faster than a speeding bullet.

Vandervoort is the second major Smallville alum to head back for the final season. Last month it was announced that John Schneider would appear in one, possibly two episodes as Clark’s late dad.

Will they answer why she didn't go to some new planet with the Kandorians? I hope so!

It's been my understanding the NX will be unable to, or unwilling to, do the commentary threads this season.

I'd be willing to do them if no one else has taken on the mantle (I often started the threads for NX when he was away anyway.)

^ Sure thing go for it Trekker...and that's awesome news about Laura. I was hoping Kara would return and yes hopefully they will answer why she was absent. You'd think someone looking for Kandor and then people claiming to be Kandorians would perk her interest. I'd guess she was in deep space and unable to contact anyone. I'd guess the only one who would be able to contact Kara would be J'onn.

You guys remember Kara right? No? well here's a refresher

Why do I bring her up? Well.......

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reported today that Laura Vandervoort is returning to Smallville for an episode that will air in October. Could it be episode #200? He hasn't said, but this is exciting news!

Actually I'm going to be around again this season and here for the discussion threads. At least I should be.

Wait a minute here folks...I'm the Laura guy. You guys have stolen Chloe, Erica, and Cassidy. Laura has been mine from the start...yes I used to watch and love her and Alex Johnston (here's hoping Saturn Girl returns) on Instant Star! I'll bring the BBQ steak and beer.

Good news!

I actually got to meet Laura Vandervoort a few weeks ago. Spoke to her for a while, got her autograph and got a picture taken with her!

She's a really sweet girl and is apparently a skilled martial artist. IIRC, she is a second degree black belt.

Oh, and she is even hotter in person than on TV!

Good, then Kristin is for me :D

Kara: "Hi Lana, I'm going to spend the summer cock teasing your boyfriend - who just so happens to be my cousin, this is Kansas, after all - by walking around in tiny swimsuits because I just don't understand this thing you humans call modesty!"

Just saw on Kelly and Brian's facebook page that they're excited for the 200th episode (they must have just written it or something) oh it will be the fourth episode of the season so I expect it to air in Nov, and the episode that Laura is coming back in will be called "Supergirl".
