Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

We're not sure which episode it will be, but TV Guide's Natalie Abrams has posted in her original exclusive that both Michael Ironside (General Lane) and Peyton List (Lucy Lane) will be returning. Both characters last appeared in Season 4.

Sounds good to me. Peyton List=

FINALLY! Lois Lane-related news I can actually get excited about.

Hope they make General Lane a villain like in the comics.

OT: (Since pretty much everyone here watched SCC too): Dean Winters is the new spokesman of Allstate. I just saw the new commercial for it where he's driving a pink Dodge and talking about a character named Johnny. For some reason it reminded me of T:TSCC. :(

Maybe it was because of the Dodge. Anyone else remember the old drinking game where everytime we saw the Ram we had to take a drink?

Speaking of that. I'm reminded of the time's Smallville had blatant advertising.

Yaris
Acuvea
Gum
Clark driving a toyota tundra
Lois talking about the new ford to distract a guard

Anyone i'm missing?

Ok in the SF/F av contest no one recognizes Chloe, Lana & Lois. :scream:

Some of you should vote for my av from "Spell". :bolian:

^ Jetfire I voted for you and now I'm hating you. I keep replaying that scene where they're having the party in the Kent barn and everyone's dancing in my head. And that damned No Doubt song is stuck in my head.

Quick someone build a phaser or something to put me out of my misery!

^
 Now you know why it was a "boo" moment. ;) That whole ep was "boo".

[edit] The scene with Clark dancing with Lois & Chloe was funny...when the guy from Princeton walks up...

Watcha wait... watcha wait... watcha wait... watcha wait... watcha wait... watcha wait... watcha waitin for!

Oh God do I hate you right now

tik tok tik tok...

My bad it was Lana & Chloe.

You know that could be a good Caption this picture.

Welling: Woo Hoo two hot women are dancing with me!
Kreuk: When is my agent going to find me a new job?
Mack: [thinking] At least Tom hasn't put on the weight yet...

Oh yeah yet another past plot line left unresolved by the writers and now that item has me thinking it has something to do with Hawkgirl since she's slated to appear. I remember that episode with fondness...ah Lois, Chloe, and Lana acting slutty and possessed by witches or whatever it was.

It's interesting to me that Kristen Kruek hasn't found more work outside of Smallville. She seemed desperate to leave the show (I still reference that Vancouver Province interview she did after Lex and Lana's wedding as her being pissed at where her character was going) and now she's done really nothing outside of the flop Street Fighter that was basically built around her character. I'd not be shocked to see Kristen back this year.

If I was KK, I'd be pissed too...her character got dragged down so far and then they put the cherry on top by making her "Kryptonite girl"...I mean WTF!? I know alot of not-so-normal stuff happens on SMALLVILLE but I would have liked to have seen the Lana Lang character be the "normal" one who is just effected by these things she can't explain...much like the first few seasons and the part hurting is Clark loving her so much to let her go and have a normal life...which they hinted to in "Apocalypse" S7 and Clark seemed happy she was ok. Or maybe I am crazy.

I think out of all the characters from the original cast Lana changed and grew (for better or worse) the most. Connected to Clark and Lex's character arcs she seems to be have been evolved and changed by her experience with both men...and you guys know how I feel about that silly Kryptonite Woman plot.

I was rolling my eyes all the way when she married Lex and started having contacts that could clone her and shady contacts.

It's such a cliche in tv that when you marry a billionaire you immediately rise to their level of power and manipulation.

Not to mention that I was not convinced at all someone like Lana could be that smart/cunning.

The other alternative to that was for her to be a cliched damsel in distress attempting to escape from a bad marriage (that never really had any legit love in it in the first place, she was rebounding from Clark and Lex wanted what Clark messed up) and wind up asking her ex boyfriend to help her which I think is exactly what Clark wanted her to do. Lana learning from Lex's own games was I think only natural for the writers to explore, maybe like in most things Smallville though it wasn't executed right.

Another thought regarding Isis...someone on Brian and Kelly's facebook page posted his theory that Lana might return and become Smallville's version of the Isis character from the comics. Intriguing theory indeed. I wonder if Black Adam might not appear this season?

She did a multi episode arc on Chuck and co-starred in a sitcom pilot that wasn't picked up. Since it's the last season I'm sure she'll put in at least once appearence.

Ausiello

Question: The new Smallvile promo shows Chloe holding Dr. Fate’s helmet, but what I want to know is if she actually puts it on? —Thom
Ausiello: Y** she does.
