One thing I am glad about is that we don't have to read stupid vague comments from the showrunners any more, most of which turns out to be false anyway and makes them look like idiots.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a Post finale interview.

Revenge of the lame producers!

No doubt about it. If the finale is terrible and Clark doesn't wear the suit then some SciFi news outlets will splash it on the front page.

"Fan's angry over Smallville's unsatisfying finale"

Comment- So Clark lays down on the ground with Shelby by his side as a meteor passes the sky

;)

^ I'm expecting a post-finale interview to be their last on the subject. They've already started working on their next series I believe. I've forgotten the name of it now.

^ Yep.

I'm curious about something and thought I'd put it out there...are people still expecting a reset of some kind to occur? I personally am not and believe that if one does happen that it cheapens what Brian and Kelly have already gone to pain staking effort to show us over the years. Not to mention in this case it would be a colossal cop out.

So, here's what will happen, Clark will fight Darksied and Darksied will have infected people like Lois and Lex and others. When the figt is over they have no memory of what happened in the past ten years regarding Clark. This is how they make everything fit. Lois and Lex have no idea who Clark is, so we end with the scene in Superman I where he's all trained up and fly's out of the Fortress with the suit on. Clark is still in love with Lois and still thinks he can save Lex, so he remains at the Planet to get Lois to fall back in love with him, The End.

^ You're assuming that Lex and Clark encounter each other before the Darkseid fight though for your scenario to work. I personally think the wedding is going to be the first hour and the stuff with Darkseid happens after wards. The screen caps with Lex and Clark in the destroyed mansion look like they happen after the wedding since Clark looks to be wearing his suit still.

All of that being said...I think the finale is difficult to predict. No spoilers from it have emerged (even Beeman remained mum!!) and I suspect WB made the cast and crew sign a no disclosure wavier of somekind.

Sigh... Just imagine what a show like Angel or Firefly could have done with 10 seasons.

Have the fan base turn against it? ;)

"Fan's angry over Smallville's unsatisfying finale"

Lets be honest. Even if the finale is on the level of Superman: The Movie, fans are still going to be angry with it. What sci-fi show that has ended on its own terms (as opposed to being canceled by the network) has not had the online fan base complaining about how "bad" the finale was?

Well these finale kind of predates this era of the internet and probably a little bias considering the website we're on, but I was pretty satisfied with TNG's All Good Things and DS9's What You Leave Behind as series finales. Genre shows that were able to get it right. Albeit I was pretty young when I watched them, but they still hold up today.

To Admiral Young: I was sort if kidding. I don't think they will try to wipe everyone's memories in order to fit the comics or the Donnerverse, but it is something that has been in the back of my mind.

What I really think will happen: Clark and Lois will get married. Chloe and Oliver will split up for whatever reason. Lex will likely have a cool conversation with Clark like the old days, but still turn bad. Chloe won't die, bit just move on. Pete was never heard of again. Jor-El may bring Johnathan back via time travel or from U- Verse Lionel will be killed again or banished back to the U-Verse Zod I'm not sure if he will play a role or not. Darksied will be beat in no more than 5 minutes, but maybe more. The suit will be worn in the end, but not during the fight. Clark will learn to fly in the first half. Tess will die. Emil will get sucked out if the airlock. Shelby will never be heard if again and likely starve to death. John and Martha will get back together and move back to the farm.(provided John lives) Sam will never leap home. Diane will come back and marry Sam. Mulder and Skully will be on the run and Dale will find out that Joseph is not really his son.

if any one would die I think it would chloe. remmber the legion has know records of chloe if superman's life. and I think that would be the catalyst for clarke to be superman and his trials to be over. remmber how he acted when amy died.

Who the hell is Amy?

Alicia died. Lana died and then he went to Jor-El and changed it and Jonathan died...but no Amy on the show. :vulcan:

^^ You mean Alicia? Chloe dying in the finale or at some point in the series has been a long bandied about fan theory. It's possible they still could go in this direction but I don't think that is going to be the case. Personally I think the "threat" of Darkseid will motivate Clark to wear the costume and Jonathan will push him in this direction and in the Fortress is where he will put it on.

alicia sorry thanks for the correction. the only bad thing about this is that lana will not see him in the suit, and neither will pete. will martha kent be back for this episode? and what about a legion spin off?

If you've seen the Space promo that is in this thread you would know that Martha and Jonathon are in the episode. Sam Jones III is in jail right now so it doesn't matter if Pete will see him in the costume, he thought it was a burden to have his secret, and has been pretty much forgot about. A live action "Legion of Superheroes" spin off while would be insanely cool IMO would be way to expensive for CW to produce.

^ Unless of course they were trapped here in out time. We only get glimpses of the future say in the pilot and the season ending episode. Ah the highjinks of a bunch of teens trapped in the 21st century. The angst, the emotion, the witty banter. Ok I'll watch.

Kelly Souders adds that the episode will also explain how Chloe interacts with the overall mythology. "Chloe fans should definitely stay tuned through the whole show," she teases.

"There's a certain thing that we give her that nobody got," Brian adds.

Syphilis? :rommie:
A kid. I think that's the answer.

Maybe it's for the best that Bruce Wayne never appeared on Smallville. Would we really want to see Bruce Wayne hide from a bunch of mobsters dressed as a showgirl?
In the cartoons, he's gone undercover without a costume, and one time it was as a mobster. Then there's this...

Sigh... Just imagine what a show like Angel or Firefly could have done with 10 seasons.
For all we know, Firefly could have gone off the rails.

If anyone cares a "Smallville" Complete Score has been uploaded on itunes. I've just been going through the samples of the music, 28 tracks. Music from both Mark Snow and Louis Febre. It's listed at $11.99. I've been wanting a score forever so I'll be getting it. :)
