Okay, time to reflect.

I voted Excellent, due to the clash of wills between Clark and the Chlovage and Clark and Jon Jones. Really good stuff and I have to say that I really didn't miss Lois all that much either.

In fact, I barely noticed that Miss Teschmacher wasn't on hand tonight either.

Thanks for the company tonight guys, I really need a slight escape from reality, if only for an hour. As usual, I enjoyed our commentary as much or more than the show itself.

So, until we convene again for another Chloe Appreciation Discussion Thread, have a good week (what's left of it, that is).

:)

NP Proc, I needed a break from reality as well, and your family is in my prayers. Let's see, think I'll get some ice cream and do some laundry and kick back and relax tonight :D

Thanks again for the kind thoughts. I think I'm just going to call it a night, haven't had an abundance of sleep lately.

Enjoy the ice cream, good luck with the laundry.

;)

I have to say, I voted Excellent. I really enjoyed the episode tonight. We had...

1) Pro-Active Clark. Clark does it two ways. Resist being a hero tooth-and-nail or throw yourself into it to the point of being an annoying pain in the ass. That being said, I like pro-active Clark. There's less whining and more superhero stuff and that is a good thing. His scenes tonight with Manhunter, Davis, and Chloe were all really good.

2) Davis! Really like the build for his Doomsday persona. I thought his confrontation with Clark at the hospital (where everyone can go see the corspes!) was the best scene of the night.

3) The return of Martian Manhunter. I can buy him pulling some strings to get on the police force and I think this is putting him to good use. He gets bonus points for suggesting that Clark wears a mask, which should be an obvious thing. I guess Pretty Boy doesn't want to hide his face.

4) Good tension between Clark and Chloe, who looked smoking tonight.

I cant believe no one brought up the Fact that Clark FLEW tonight. I would definatly call that a real honest flight. It kinda paid tribute to Superman leaping tall buildings in a single bound. And it wasnt a yeah he flew but it was a dream or hallucination or it somehow got reset. He actually FLEW.
Im glad they have ditched the no flights...No tights bullshit.
I look forward to them dealing with him Actually becoming Superman. They really need to figure out a way around him having to hide his identity deal. And No he shouldnt wear a mask. Thats for Batman. I wonder how they will handle it...

I called it. "Pocketprotecter" was the killer. Bitch deserved it for the lame insult.

Clark: "Manhunter?"

John Jones: "I'm a detective now. What, you thought I was gonna stay at your farm and be your house martian?"

later...

Chloe: "Clark when I thought you might be a meteor FREAK, I would've done anything for you...uh...to protect you.

Clark: "Chloe, someday I'm afraid your gonna trust the wrong person. And he's gonna tap that ass...like I should have."

Chloe: "Uh...yeah, I'm off to meet with the Norman Bates Jr."

Generic prison cell...

Chick-who-can't-act: "I'm NOT a lawyer, but since Tess Mercer isn't in this episode, I'll play the evil recruiter role."

Pocketprotecter: "I want Michael Cera to play me in the movie!"

Chick-who-can't-act: "As if! You like totally overrated yourself."

At the Daily Plain-Nut...

John Jones: "Look, whitebread, I can't cover your ass for ever. SUPERFRIENDS. OTHER REFERENCES TO SUPERMAN MEDIA. You need to wear a mask."

Clark: "Look I got a contract, 'no disguises, no surprises! Oh, hey, Jimmy."

Jimmy: "They say that a hero can save us, I'm not gonna stand here and wait."

Clark: "No Spiderman references!"

[Everyone wishes the guy who used to do 10 minute SMALLVILLE still posted here at LUDICROUS SPEED]

He didn't fly, he just jumped really high. He's done it before.

No that was a bonafide flight...and when did he jump that high before that didnt turn out to be a dream or him being possessed by something? This is the first time he actually did a genuine fight himself...

You said everything I wanted to say. Thanks!

I really like Davis. I really like Davis with Chloe. Unfortunately, this isn't going to turn out good for Davis.

It was pretty good. I have to read up on Doomsday though. I was never really into Superman growing up and Smallville is the only show based on Superman I have ever watched. All I know about Doomsday is he kills Superman in the comic books. I stood in line to buy the issue and never opened it hoping it will be worth money when I am old and gray.

He jumped higher in "Hidden."

And does anyone else thing the Davis character just doesn't work?

There is also a movie on it, i've watched it, yep, he is the only being that can kill Supes, cause he is Kryptonian too, but in a much more genetically altered advanced way.

Clark needed to take a drive with Rachael Dawes down to the seedy side of Gotham a couple of years back to make him realize that there is alot of sadness outside of his life

There was something I was going to comment on something Clark said when he met Jon Jones at the beginning but I forgot what Clark said

I must say, for a small group of us, I'm proud that we quickly brought this thread up to six pages in length.

No doubt. Only, what, 4 or 5 of us? with P and I doing the bulk of the posting?

Where was Mr. Adventure tonight?

I guess we had a lot to say.

Yeah, both Mr. A and NX were missing in action, along with a few other regulars. Still, this show got more commentary than Tuesday's ep of Fringe (which I ended up watching after the fact).

I have a late fitness class at the gym on Thursdays now, I've been missing trading quips though. I might be able to catch the tail end sometimes but I'd probably be a little lost.

I thought this was a pretty good episode tonight, even a cameo by my favorite curved street section. I bought the swerve until the end, they got me. I think Allie Mack is doing a good job taking up the slack in the Lana void though I was missing Erica Durance tonight.

I wish they didn't have the whole "no flights no tights" thing because it's getting time with Clark's actions and instant run time. I'm not sure though how they'd be able to pull off no one recognizing him.

He jumped higher in "Hidden."

Indeed he did.

It was a jump. He went straight up, as a jump. If I jumped a foot off the ground, does that mean I flew a foot into the air? No. So how come when Clark. He has super strength, so jumping really high isn't beyond his abilities. Besides that it is a fact that he hasn't mastered flight yet (or even made a successful one on his own, for that matter). It wouldn't make sense for him to all of a sudden take flight as if he's done it a million times before. And lastly, if he does make his first flight int he show, I'd think they'd actually make a big deal of it, and not show it as if it were an old power of his.

Nah. Just leaping a tall building in a single bound.
