I remember those commercials from when I was a kid. I thought he was an old man then.

Maybe over-exposure selling records on TV made the butt of jokes, but his voice was really something. Not many men can manage those falsetto transitions so smoothly, and his yodeling was effortless and fluid. He didn't sell all those records for nothing! RIP.
