I don't understand the hate for "Heroes & Demons." Granted, I don't think I've seen it all the way through since it first aired 23 years ago. But while it wasn't great, I don't remember it being awful either. And I liked that it opened the door for the Doctor to do stuff outside of sick bay, even if it was only the holodeck.
"Elogium" is awful. I don't want to watch any
Star Trek episode where a character has to explain puberty. Also, it highlights the general ickyness of the Neelix/Kes romance. And the more Neelix talks about potential fatherhood, the more convinced I am that he would be a very bad father. He was a decent babysitter for Naomi but I think it's for the best that Kes eventually dumped him.
"Blood Fever" I only watch for the ultimate so-bad-it's-good line: "Oh, come on, B'Elanna! This isn't about the gun! This is about sex!"
Resolutions (I might get flak for that one, but I hate the monkey and the whole ep seems like a tease with no real resolution)
[...]
Good Shepherd (ho hum on the ho-hummers... in other words the slackers on VOY bore me a bit, plus at least one them was a j-hole on top of that)
I remember thinking it was weird that "Resolutions" ended with Janeway & Chakotay just going back to work and not even looking at each other. Frankly, I would skip this episode just on principle because it's the main reason why we have so many insufferable J/Cers in this fandom.
"Good Shepherd" has one of the more abrupt endings I've ever seen. Also, I liked this episode a lot more the first time I saw it, when it was called "Learning Curve."
Parturition --I can't even remember the premise.
I didn't remember it either. I looked it up and I still don't remember it. I'm sure I've seen it because I know I've seen every single
Voyager episode at some point. But I'm pretty spotty on Seasons 2 & 3 because, back when they were first airing, my mom made me go to Religious Education classes on most Wednesday nights. So while I've seen all of them, a lot of them I didn't see until syndicated reruns a few years later, by which point I didn't really care about the pre-Seven of Nine stuff.
Endgame- What can i say? Horrible romance, no ensemble cast, totally contradicts Shattered amd and the principles of the temporal time directive, and we don't get to see them arrive home. I heard the regular writers were banned from the develop of this episode. It shows.
While "Endgame" gets better on repeat viewings for me, the abrupt ending still bothers me, especially considering we spend so much time at the beginning with the alternate future that ends up never happening. And I thought the first time that it felt a bit off, like it wasn't written by the same people who were writing the regular series by that point.
Episodes that I avoid because they're too wrapped up in interpersonal drama, rather than sci-fi drama:
"Real Life"
"Mortal Coil"
"Once Upon a Time," although that one's borderline for me.
Episodes that make me mad because they present an ethical dilemma and "our heroes" make the wrong decision:
"Tuvix"
"Memorial"
