Is Common's character poorly written or is he just not very good at portraying him?
Ya he kind of bugs me some times. Even just the way he speaks sounds out of place and different from other people, who I would think would all speak the same living together like that for so long.Is Common's character poorly written or is he just not very good at portraying him?
I'm beginning to wonder if they are going to adapt the other Wool stories at all or if we're going to get something drastically different. I enjoy the show but it's moving at a glacial pace compared to the books.
I assume he is a big name in America and seen as a "get" because he seems to be terribly one note as an actor. His speech in the last episode was like something being read out by a bot.Is Common's character poorly written or is he just not very good at portraying him?

Episode 6 - I'm struggling with the lack of Juliette. Rebecca Ferguson is the best performer on the show and episodes with barely any of her in it just leave me think "when are we getting to the Julietteworks facotry?" I was hoping her and Solo would be out of their silo by now but it's looking like they'll be there until the season finale. So her story has barely progressed the last few episodes. I'm not saying I don't enjoy the other stuff (though I couldn't care less about Knox and Shirely's romantic life) and I did enjoy developments in this episode: Camille Sims has developed into one of the most interesting secondary characters, I liked Billings rebelling and Bernard's panic. But I could really use another episode of just Juliette and Solo to move their story along.
She probably thinks Solo knows fek all and elephants or whatever is just a load of shite he made up in his head.I agree 100%.
I like this show a lot, but this season isn't really moving the main narrative forward.
I have often thought that shows like this rely on a certain level of incuriosity. Solo obviously knows a lot more about the world than Juliette (elephants, etc.) but she shows no interest in how he knows this, what else he knows, and so forth. I realize she is motivated to get back before people follow her out, but she can walk and chew gum at the same time. Ask some questions!

It became very clear this episode why Sims had no hope of ever being IT shadow. He wouldn't have had a clue what to do with Legacy. This week's was better, though I did wish they'd just stayed with Juliette and Solo for longer instead of cutting to other stuff. The stuff with Bernard and Lukas is getting very interesting too and Tim Robbins is always great to watch.
