There's another place just off Great Western Road that I cannot recall the name of, but the quality of the original stuff there also looks very good.

But it was just an LA thing that looked like the dodgers logo (with the bottom part of the L being the line in the A)

Well, I've been dallying with the notion of a tattoo for some time, but given work I've got to be very careful about what kind and where.

I definitely want it on my back, and (not to copy you sir, Mr Rojo), but preferrably towards either the nape of the neck or perhaps somewhere on the upper left of my back.

I have a few ideas, mostly tribal (not tribble) which I've been looking at.

Sadly I don't have Rojo's back structure so want to put on a bit more muscle weigh back there, which will be ever harder now that I just lost 3kg over the past 8 days thanks to a pretty horrid illness.

Still... these are some of the ideas pinched liberally from the 'net which caught my eye.

From the nape of the neck down the spine (yes, I know the pain will be terrible)

The TOP one in the upper left of my back

Again in the upper left of my back

For a shoulder, but preferrably for the back

Don't know about this one, but preferrably for the back.

I need to get a decent photo of my back and then do some photoshopping or something methinks, to get a better idea.

Your best bet would be to find a tattoo artist who does pin-up type tattoos. There are a ton of pictures of pin-up tattoos on the net. I've seen a few in magazines I've liked, but I've never been into those types of tattoos enough to direct you to a good artist.

While there's some beautiful artwork in here I'm afraid my innate fear of needles will keep me from ever getting any.

I guess I'll just have to compensate for the blank canvas with other "artwork" like shoes.

Are you implying that I write like a teenage girl?!

The guy that did it didn't have his letter stencils with him, so I went with my own handwriting.

Reminds me of the one I want but the leaves need to be elongated and have points on them. Like this...

It's supposed to be an oak leaf, like the military insignia for the rank Commander (or Lieutenant Colonel), but I suck at drawing. I should have written "I will not draw my own tattoos in the future" under it instead of my name.

If anyone's wondering, I only drew the stencil, an actual tattoo artist did the tattooing. I'm not quite that stupid...

It was a pain in the ass too. My skin didn't want to take the shading. He did it five times and it still didn't take as well as I would have liked. I considered getting it touched up a few times, but decided to leave it the way it is. It's my first tattoo and I decided I like the semi-crudeness of the design.
