Of course they will slow down. They have already slowed down. This reflects the characters moving on. This is VOYAGER, not JANEWAY...the story is moving on.
... and as it moves on Janeway the character will not be generating profit. That's my point.

when an author finally comes along who is not inclined to write the "angry fanboy" version of Janeway the character has already been slated to die.
The fact remains though that while she's dead she's not profitable.
Well, then I guess it a good thing that Pocket doesn't have to rely on just one character to make a profit. Besides, she can't have been that profitable in the first place or Pocket would have chosen someone else to kill. Now, I'm not saying that she was unpopular, it's just that if she really was as popular as you all seem to think, then there is no way they ever would have killed her in the first place.Of course they will slow down. If she returns from the dead in a leave-your-brain-at-the-door plot she's not profitable either.

Sure, but now that it's dealt with in the last two novels just how much more mileage can Pocket expect to get out of it? If they don't bring her back then eventually references to her in the novels will slow down then stop completely and the character is no longer profitable.
You know Star Trek Online and it's tie-in books aka Needs of the Many and any other books that would be released under the Star Trek Online banner have Janeway as still alive maybe the Janeway fans should check those out.
Leave your brain at the door plots are not profitable?![]()
I never knew the fictional death of a fictional character would be so inflammatory
