Should there still be a future for Titan?

Sho posted:
No end has been set. So far it's 8 or 11 books depending on whether you count the String Theory trilogy and including The Eternal Tide, which will be released later this month. However, many regard Kirsten Beyer's books to be a re-relaunch, in which case we're talking about four books including Tide. __________________

I would not mind that but there are much more awesome species out there:
Hirogen, Voth, The Hierarchy, Ventu, lost klingons following the prophecy, Vaadwaur
Devore, Viidians, Srivani.

The Hirogen have appeared in both Demons of Air and Darkness and Mere Mortals.

The Malon also appeared in the former book.

Full Circle i believe is the first book to go back to the Delta Quadrant, but if it is, then it would be near the end of the novel.

Followed by Unworthy, Children of the Storm, followed by the soon to be released Eternal Tide.

Demons took place during the run of the show (2376, VGR's sixth season), so it wouldn't really be considered a follow up.

A Malon ship also appeared in Q & A.

Well there was that one scene where Chakotay got a Peanut Buster Parfait, and I remember in another novel B'Elanna was trying to decide between an Oreo Blizzard and a banana split...

Sorry.

Am I the only one who thinks "Dairy Queen" first any time the "DQ" abbreviation is used?

^What they said. Just because we haven't seen familiar races yet, doesn't mean we won't in the future.

I do actually. Although the final excecution of them was a bit to 'general barbarian alien', the concept behind them (based on city streetgangs) was quite interesting. And I'd love to see how the social status between the sects is after nearly a decade.

I have a famous inability to recognize sarcasm, but I believe we're referring to their salamander offspring from "Threshold" which is an episode that I've decided doesn't actual exist.

In fact, what were we talking about?

I've watched Threshold twice today. The second time was to confirm my first reaction to it this morning - I barely remembered it from its first broadcast years ago and I've not rewatched Voyager like I have the other shows. I just noticed it listed and the episode title rang a bell with some comments I'd seen here.

Oh my...

:)

We're filing "Threshold" in the "exaggerated stories" folder established by the novelization of TMP?

While our incredibly talented writers have even made stuff like TFF work (notably, David Mack's rehabilitation of Nimbus III in VGD, and several writers using Sybok), I just think "Threshold" is beyond saving.

But Kirsten Beyer could surprise me.

I have some catching up to do but personally, after book #2 it went to hell and apparently has just been going farther down :( I have had many issues with what has been done with Titan and things have just gotten sad. if it continues, it needs to find the magic it once had.
