Season 2 was all about DANGEROUS ASSIMILATING AI stuff.
Besides, Zora could beat the borg with one virtual hand behind her back WHILE enjoying an old musical.
I do like the idea of Borg either in dialogue or just not attacking people. They seemed to have exited for a very long time without attacking people until something got them in attack mode again.
Either way, I am fine without seeing them. It's a new millenium. We've visited some old favorites, time for more new stuff.

I'm pretty sure the entire point of Discovery now is "remember species X? Here's them 900 years later!" so I think we'll be seeing a LOT of old favourites.
I would be fine seeing the Borg, and hopefully the series could find some way to evolve them. It wouldn't hurt to catch up with the Voth, Vaadwaur, or other VOY era species as well.
One thing I do hope that CBS Trek builds on is connecting their series together more. Even though I'm not really a fan of the Romulan warrior nuns from PIC I did like their inclusion on DISCO last season and I hope we get more of that kind of synergy. Perhaps some seeds PIC has planted with the xBs last season, or in future seasons, will sprout in DISCO Seasons 4, 5, or beyond.

Good point. Frankly, I think somehow the Borg threat is no longer in existence or at least changed considerably from where they were. I don't want to see them in DSC - do something else!
Please do something else.
Not as a primary threat. One episode that gives a resolution to their arc would be welcome, if they are doing anything other than raging through the galaxy assimilating.
Maybe there’s a Borg offshoot of ex Borgs who decided to continue pursuing perfection by creating an all voluntary collective.

If the Borg did start making assimilation strictly voluntary, how many people do you think would join?
The same people who join cults, lonely and stressed out people who feel comfort in authority. Maybe terminally ill people looking for a cure. And they’d sell it as being part of something greater than yourself and never being alone again in the search for biological and technological perfection.
I think this concept actually would be interesting if they explored it.
This incarnation of the Borg might even be tempting to Seven if she was convinced they were no longer perpetrating destruction and cruelty.

Thing is, the Borg are picky about who they assimilate in that they only want those who will contribute to perfection. I can't see the lonely, stressed out or terminally ill falling under that criteria.
Perhaps the Borg have become bureaucratic to extreme degrees requiring people to fill out applications to be assimilated and then be subjected to interviews and extensive background checks prior to assimilation.

I thought the Borg were awesome when they were introduced. Still do. But I've seen quite enough of them now.

Maybe even slacker Borg who are a bit more chilled than the rest?

There are complications which could cause some issues with the serial fiction being handle for DISCO's spin-off series PICARD where the Borg is already a plot point. A Borg plot could create un-lofty ambitions to make the two storylines connect. DISCO deserves to have its own identity and I think it was the showrunners fault to not have faith in creating a fresh new canvas in a timeline which was untouched to just tread old waters. The Galaxy is very large and since it's considered a prequel to something, meeting Klingons or other trope characters should be farther away from their existence. There are aliens and stories to tell where they could've been THE power during their time and later fell, maybe bc of the Klingons or whoever. Treading old waters is lazy and not very confident of the characters and material created.

Disco has already included the Qowat Milat from Picard without the two shows becoming connected.
No Borg please, leave that to Picard where two of the characters have direct, and somewhat shared, connections to them so it makes sense.

Besides, the way the Borg are presented in the 24thC, they will likely have reached a point long before the 31st where they either assimilate basically everything and become the dominant power, or are incapacitated/destroyed. Given that we know the first doesn't seem to have happened, I'd guess they aren't around the Galaxy as much anymore. Maybe someone with fewer morals decided to use Data's Borg destroying spirograph.
