Shift in Pop Music?

Hell is an Eagles concert with Nickelback opening, for the rest of eternity.
:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

So...I work at a restaurant next to a concert arena. Tomorrow is the SOLD OUT Nickelback concert (followed by two days of Disney on Ice: High School Musical), and on Wednesday is the Eagles!

I'm sorry, but this made my night.

We get to wear rock t-shirts and whatnot for these shows. I am going to wear a Guitar Hero shirt to show how hardcore I am.

Who said those were my favourites? I just dont understand how Neil Young and DOA qualifies as 'good'

I'd say a lot of people would disagree with you about Neil Young. I'm not going to answer your "questions" because I'm not here to argue opinion.

As for D.O.A., they helped start the punk movement in NA. If you don't like punk music, that's fine. :)

Hun, I love punk. I just dont like DOA.

And I never asked questions. None that were meant for answering. I stated an opinion and if you disagree thats fine. Music is subjective for a reason.

I don't know if it's just a phase. Unless of course it's a particularly good album that's struck a particular chord (you see what I did there? ;)) with a certain demographic at a certain period of time. We all thought this would happen back in 2003 when The Darkness dominated the UK charts for a while. It never came to fruition in the long term.

That's because The Darkness sucked.

Sticking one or two singles on an album and filling the rest with shit has always been a staple of pop music. Whereas Hard Rock and Metal has always focused on an entire album.

There are plenty of hard rock and metal albums that are full of shit tracks. Neither genre is inherently better than pop music.
